I expected the hotel to be good, but it actually exceeded my expectations. The hotel is wonderful and high quality! It's located in a picturesque valley, near the town of Reit im Winkl, which you can walk to in 20 minutes. Both the main building and the smaller cottages are decorated in an Alpine style, with lots of wood and flowers in the windows. There is a large green area, with a little pond and beautiful meadow. The hotel also has a large spa with saunas and a great pool. Our apartment was fantastic, beautiful, and very comfortable for four people. We had a terrace with access to the garden and sun beds. The wonderful, rich breakfast, featuring local specialties, is also worth mentioning.

Lovely hotel, large with a big restaurant and lovely terrace with stunning views. We had a room at the back of the property with the same stunning views from the balcony, where we sat most evenings. Our suite was wonderful, large with a lovely seating area, lovely bathroom and a comfortable large bed. The kitchenette was adequate but a little small. The breakfast in the morning was very good and was served each morning by the lovely smiling waiter Manu; we sat out on the terrace most mornings and nothing was too much trouble for him, There was fresh meats, cheeses, buns, jams and scrambled, boiled or frieds eggs and bacon, plus a large selection of coffees, lattes etc and fresh fruit juice.

We really liked everything. Breakfast is really good, and you have a lots of choices! Everything is clean and staff is really friendly and nice! Pool area, sauna eveything is more than you expect. Cakes are also really good. Room was also very clean and the houskeeping staff is excelent and really friendly! Rezeption lady, Nicole S., that did our check make a very good contact with us, and she was one of the reasons why this hotel is what it is! She makes you feel welcomed, and after her all the other staff follows her with friendlines. All in all really good experience and We will come back! :)

Reit in Winkl is a lovely Bavarian village that has everything you need, and great access to other areas and facilities just a short drive away. It is right on the doorstep of a great family friendly ski area (Winklmoos/Steinplatte) and easy travelling other areas such as St Johann or Kitzbühel.

It's a small town, you'll see familiar faces every day while walking around :P. The food is yummy and there are a lot of mountains that you can walk or run. People here are also really friendly. Grüß Gott!

For us, Reit im Winkl is one of the most beautiful, small towns of the Chiemgau / Kaiserwinkel / Berchtesgardener Land, and the perfect "base camp" to other Tourist Attractions in this region of South-Eastern Bavaria, and the close by Austrian City of Salzburg!

If you are disabled in a wheelchair avoid, IN FACT AVOID AUSTRIA disable d access across the whole country is poor |They haven't heard of wheel chair ramps, dropped kerbs AUSTRIA ONLY wants fit able bodied visitors Motorway service areas toilets impossible to get to in a wheelchair. It appears there is no change to attitudes towards the disabled since the mid 1930's

Small town with a thriving community feel to it.

Small town with a thriving community feel to it. Plenty of good places to eat and drink. During the summer there are cultural events happening weekly. For the walkers there are plenty of walks starting from the town nd plenty of other a short drive away. Munich, Saltsburg and Innsbruck only an hours drive away

Very nice beautiful place to stay alone or with family. I was there already more than 10 times, but wanna come back again and again! Very beautiful nature and fresh air in this place and many kilometers around in Germany and Austria- for me this is the heart of all beuatiful places in this region.

I really felt like at home, so warm place, full of small but homely details. Very friendly owners go well out of their way to make you feel just like that. Very quiet, only stream in front and cow bells, with Alpine peaks in front of you when you have breakfast on a lovely wooden balcony. Absolutely the best place to stay in Reit im Winkl, and very moderately priced as well.

We really enjoyed our stay, and used a bit of time on the balcony of our room. The location is great and the area is calm and relaxing. The area is great for walk and hiking. The Hotel is traditionel without feeling too old. Dinner was also great. best Schnitzel i've had. Great hotel for 1-3 days. good for longer

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The team were welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing. 5 mins drive to Winklemoos Gondola. Lovely rooms. great surroundings, beautiful pool, sauna and steam room. Thank you so much for looking after me, I can’t wait to visit again.
