Our hosts were absolutely wonderful , warm. friendly, welcoming and so very accommodating! I like that the place was so clean and fresh, everything we needed was there, incredible decor the fresh scent of wood. I like that the hosts made us feel so very welcome, we were able to go into the woods with Marten to visit the bee hives and the small intimate give in the back was absolutely fascinating. It really did feel like staying with family!

The property is in midst of the black forest and the experience is mind blowing. You have to stay to experience it. The view the tall oak trees just make this place serene. The stay and the room was also very comfortable and spacious. I would definitely recommend them. Staff extremely kind and breakfast was wonderful 👍

Amazig and quite place, beautiful views. Super friendly staff and owner. It is a family owned bussnis the owner is such a lovly woman. Great history of the hotel and great service over all. Beautiful setting with mountains and forests as a backdrop. Inside the property it is immaculate in every sense and the staff are really obliging. Evening meal was really high quality and breakfast was a nice surprise as it was table service and a lot more relaxing. We will definitely be back.

Did not have breakfast, Location was good, Room was very clean and had a great bathroom, comfortable beds and a small kitchenette great for making drinks and cooking something small if you want. Very new and nicely decorated with balcony. Parking put front and a lift. Very pleased with the accommodation especially for the price.

    Schuttertal - in particular Schweighausen - is excellent for walking in plain nature. A large number of trails are well marked and there are six theme based trails in Schuttertal and it's villages. Some of these trails are also suitable for mountain biking (not needing acrobatic experience). Along the trails there are several restaurants, but check which days of the week they are closed. Due to its small size Schuttertal does not participate in the KONUS system (free public transportation for guests), however ask for a guest card and you may get discounts on attractions in the wide vicinity.
