Room was very good and well furnished with double aspect view over lake and mountain and large balcony. Lift was useful for shifting the luggage. Staff were excellent. Restaurant was also excellent with a varied good quality menu. We will certainly return!

It's amazing living inside the black forest, surrouned by the trees and the nature. walking distance to the trial also the supermarket. The breakfast is great and the host is very nice too. I would love to stay more nights if I could.

Loved the location. Very near to the Schwarzwald National Park and lots of hiking opportunities. The rooms were nice as well and very comfortable. There's a grocery shop within 5 minutes walking distance which is a plus. Recommended if you want to unwind and relax.

Exceptional place to stay with very warm and welcoming hosts that are willing to help with anything and everything. The apartment is immaculate and contains everything you could wish for. Very clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable place to stay for long periods of time. Access to hiking trails are close and everything else is a short drive away. We will definitely be back.

This was a stopover on a 3-day hike along the ‚Westweg‘ in the Black Forest. Very friendly welcome by Ann and Dave, Brits who have run the place for the oast 10 years. Room was quiet, clean and very comfortable and the price unbeatable! Excellent breakfast and a self-service bar for that ’letztes Bier bevor ins Bett gehen’!!

Breakfast was excellent: plenty of variation in breads and variation in cheese/meat as well. The rooms are spacious and neatly designed with a very calm but luxurious atmosphere. The bathroom is massive, has a good shower, and a wide sink. Rooms are clean and well-maintained, and properly cleaned every day. The location is supreme: in the centre of Oberkirch with access to parking spaces and directly next to the train. The restaurant in the hotel is also strongly recommended. Some other random good points: stable, fast and free WiFi. Parking included with the hotel on a nearby P+R (2 min walk). Lovely sitting area outside the room with some books and games.

    Hotel was a little dated but very clean and comfortable. The bar and snack system the host has organised is great with a well stocked bar and fridge. The host was amazing - nothing was too much trouble - Dave even drove me to the cash machine to withdraw cash so I could pay for takeaway meal. Nice balcony with stunning views. Breakfast was amazing with lots of foods on offer- better than most continental breakfasts we've eaten.

    I had trouble finding the hotel because the sign was blocked by Christmas trees, which was quite annoying. It felt closed when I arrived, it turned out I was the only guest in the hotel. I pass through this area a lot and wanted to try another hotel than my usual one that I like a lot. I’ll return to the other one next time. The room was small. I must say the breakfast omelette was amazing!

    Petra is very nice and helped us a lot, the hotel is a minute walk from a supermarket, the town is very beautiful. There is a restaurant in the hotel if you wanna eat or drink beer. The appartment is very big, we had a big room, another room and a big bathroom.
