The magnificent castle is a must-see, and the old town is charming too. We had a particularly good and reasonably priced meal at Rockk's Steakhouse in Sigmaringen. Finally, we visited and shopped at the Zoller-Hof Brewery, buying a case of Fidelis dark wheat beer. One of the best. Our visit to Sigmaringen was well worth it.

This time we came to Sigmaringen specifically to see the castle. We were interested in the castle itself, with its many furnishings and exhibits, as well as its history. We also enjoyed the town center with its many beautiful houses.

The area is somewhat hilly, so those of a certain age should be reasonably fit. Sigmaringen is not particularly suitable for wheelchair users, as hardly any buildings (including restaurants, etc.) are accessible.

I've been to Sigmaringen many times, as my son lives there. I really like the town. It has excellent shopping, a diverse culinary scene, and a vibrant atmosphere. Not to mention the castle, the local history museum, and the beautiful park along the Danube.

A charming town on the Danube.

A charming town on the Danube. You can visit the castle, stroll along the river, and much more. There are good restaurants and other attractions. Definitely worth a visit. The range of leisure activities is immense, and of course, don't miss the Kneipp garden.

Stayed at this property as part of a motorcycle tour with three friends. We chose Sigmaringen as a location close to the Danube gouge road and also it looked pretty. The old town is lovely and well worth further exploration than we did on our one night stay. The hotel is in the centre of the pedestrianised old town. There is plenty of parking available in the town for cars, however the hotel offered us parking space at the rear of the property for the four motorcycles. :-) Friendly staff and a good breakfast.

The hotel is rather special with a lot of former splendor beautifully restored and decorated, with a lot of attention to detail. My room 206 was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. I also loved the spacious shower cubicle in the bathroom and the integrated magnifying mirror. All the public rooms are very beautiful, the breakfast buffet was very inviting and had a lot of choice and it was great having access to an excellent coffee machine round the clock.

Excellent area, excellent price. The host was extremely kind and helpful -- they gave me information about getting around the area, and helped me with my bags. They kept the room always very tidy, and the property is beautiful and well-maintained. There are many walking and cycling paths nearby (Sigmaringen is on the Donau pathways), and the train station is a close-by walk, maybe 15 minutes, away.

A wonderful stay for our family. Our experience from the Manager and all the hotel staff was exceptional with all being very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Onsite car parking available. Excellent breakfast provided. Short walk to the castle. Would definitely recommend and stay at again.
