Beautifully situated in a hidden valley a short distance from the Autobahn. Fantastic staff. Great dinner and breakfast. There is bratwurst and there is bratwurst. This is the latter, so make sure you come on Thursday or Friday.

What a wonderful hotel! Right on the old town walls, this old school hotel ticked all the boxes. A magnificent room, a splendid breakfast with views and lovely hospitality. This is the only place to stay in Rothenburg. Special mention of our host - he was excellent.

An excellent hotel in a great location. Rooms were comfortable with everything you needed for a good stay and the bed and pillows were fantastic. The honour kitchen was great, well stocked and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the owner even offered to take a group photo at the end of our stay. Location was close to the old town without being in the hustle and bustle of the crowd which made it much easier accessing by car and free on-site parking was very much appreciated. We cannot rate this hotel highly enough, it was excellent!.

Fantastic place. Felt like staying in an ancient castle. It never gave the appearance of a hotel stay. The stay nicely complimented the views of Rothenurg. The hotel is located in a huge area with a small water stream in its compound itself. this is a nice place for reading books or spending some lonely time. The hotel is located very near to Rothenburg town an hardly is 5 mins walk from hotel entrance. The interior and room was neat and clean despite give the ancient castle look.

    Excellent hotel, spacious room, quiet environment, great breakfast with all sorts of honey and marmalade to taste. We arrived a bit too late to be able to enjoy the restaurant in the evening, which is really a shame, we'll have to go back for that. We had some delay on the way there (black weekend in summer), but the staff was very helpful and we could check in late without any problem.

    This is one of the few cases that the hotel is more than expected. The staff was very polite and the room was very clean and warm (during January with snow). Also the breakfast was huge and fresh. In addition to that the restaurant for dinner was also very cozy and a very well decorated place. The overwell conditions in the hotel was an added value for having a relaxing and enjoyable time

    Lovely small hotel, just off road, far enough not to hear any traffic noise. Surrounded by lovely countryside. Very pretty, comfortable bedroom, good bathroom and shower. Able to have windows open for cooler air at night. Excellent breakfast with great selection of homemade jams and local honey, many different flower/ blossom flavours. Meat, cheese, eggs, breads, cakes, juices…wonderful.

    We would definitely recommend to stay in this hotel - beautiful historic location, clean rooms (we had 2 rooms as a family), and the best is the restaurant and people! Very good food and also nice breakfast. We enjoyed staying there and we will come back one day for sure!
