Small town, quite busy. Surprising few restaurants! We ate in same Ristorante Trastevere two nights. Good. Nice lake in which you can swim. Early August temperature was fine. The Hotel is amazing. It is really comfortable and nice. We spend our wedding night in October 2019 there and we were really happy and had a great experience. Sadly, when we decided to come back this time with our 1 year daughter we had a very different (bad) experience. The Hotel is definitely not friendly for kids. After giving it a lot of thought we decided to stay one night at the hotel, mainly because of the amazing pool. Check-In is at 15:00h and Check-out at 12:00. When we got there, it turned out that kids are not allowed in the pool after 14:00h. So we couldn't use the pool the first day and the second day we only got to be in the pool just a couple of hours . - No one told us about the pool regulations although I called and said I was traveling with a kid. I just hope that they put this information more explicitly and accessible at their web page so parents know the implications of traveling with kids. Beautiful property, location excellent - just a short walk from Rottach-Egern and hiking trails. Also easy to walk to Tegernsee - no more than 30 minutes to get to the famous Tegernseer Bräustüberl. There's a bus route as well, we got the impression it's very easy to get around. Our room was nicely furnished, very clean and cosy. Having a little balcony to sit on in the evening was a great extra. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast (continental) very tasty.
