Nice spacious room. Very nice bathroom, toilet was in separate room which was very convenient for 3 of us. We had one double bed and one bunk bed in our room . It's located on busy street,but we didn't hear any noise,perhaps because windows of our room were facing the side street,but also probably because they used good noise eliminating windows Bunk bed was very comfortable even for me . I am 6"2' and didn't have any problems to fit in that bed. Hotel is either new or remodeled and offered us everything we were looking for. It has underground garage parking avaliable for 18 euros which is quiet reasonable for Freiburg . Reception area was very nice,they offered breakfast for 14 euros I guess, but we didn't take that option. There is an ALDI store right next to the hotel which is very convenient especially for families with smaller children if you need to buy anything. Great hotel overall and we will stay there if we will be in that area again.

The excellent public transport connections are a big plus, making Freiburg and other destinations easily accessible by bus and tram. It's a nice little town. Unfortunately, we had the bad luck of it raining most of the time – that makes things a bit difficult ;-)

Centrally located, 7 km from Freiburg by car, you can quickly reach the Glottertal valley, Schauinsland mountain, Lake Titisee, and more. Freiburg, St. Peter. We ate along the way; there are plenty of restaurants. Public transport runs every few minutes, and by car it's even more convenient.

Umkirch is a very quiet place.

Umkirch is a very quiet place. There are several shops very close to the hotel. From Umkirch, you can quickly reach Freiburg/Basel and Colmar/Strasbourg in the other direction. However, the A5 motorway is very busy, so taking the back roads is recommended (unless you're pressed for time).

I was in Freiburg for a seminar on Saturday and Sunday and...

I was in Freiburg for a seminar on Saturday and Sunday and only stayed overnight and had breakfast at the Hotel Heuboden, which I would gladly recommend; I didn't experience anything else in Umkirch except on Saturday evening in the restaurant diagonally opposite, where you could still have a drink and even dance if you felt like it :-)

The house location is in Umkirch, near Freiberg, Breisach, and Colmar, very convenient. The room is spacious, and the balcony has a nice view of the farmland, a quiet small town, we loved it. The host welcomed us with hospitality and introduced everything to us in detail and patiently. Recommend with 5-star!
