We weren't sure what to expect in the heart of town. Jana and Michael (?) have made a tastefully fitted out apartment in the heart of Velbert, suitable for short stays. Instructions were in English and German. We were visiting family and the location was ideal.

    The room and bed were comfortable with all the normal amenities. The staff was quite nice and even helped us by lending us a wall plug for our USB chargers. Breakfast was OK with a reasonable range of options, including a waffle-making machine. The coffee wasn't great but it was about the same level as most hotel self-serve coffee machines.

    This is a very nice, comfortable and calm place, for a stopover or a longer retreat. Peaceful village with two interesting churches and rural atmosphere. Hotel was impeccably clean, with very cozy dining area. Generous breakfast and very helpful host.
