The place was spotless, and the digital entry made everything so simple. I really appreciated being able to check in before arriving—it’s much better than standing outside waiting for a code. I was met in arrival by the owner. very friendly. Location was great. right by the start of the town. Enough equipment etc to cook meals for 6 people. outside area is a bonus. No private parking but on street was ample.

This is our second stay with Tatjana and Ludwig, this time with kids. Gruner Baum is the perfect spot in the the Black Forest and everything about it, from the clean and comfortable rooms, the view of the forest and the delicious breakfast, are unmatched. Tatjana and Ludwig are gracious, entertaining and funny. They were always available to help with anything we needed. Highly recommended for couples or families. Tatjana, next time will be sooner than 11 years!

This is a perfect hotel for a restful night or two or three in the black forest region. A babbling brook right next to the hotel lulls you to sleep. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The hotel is very stylish (Vitra Design- beautiful art books, an unusual combination of traditional and modern- with many surprising and enjoyable features. Our dog was welcomed. The breakfast fulfilled every wish I could’ve had more. I can highly recommend this hotel in Glottertal. Thank you.
