fantastic couple who run this place, I was here visiting family and traveled from England, exceptional hospitality. we had to check out very early at 3am so we missed breakfast, the hosts left on our apartment door a snack bag for the road and some treats for my niece.

Wassenberg is a small town near the Dutch border. Its most beautiful feature is the old castle with its grounds, a lovely hotel, and good restaurants. Roermond, with its outlet mall, is only about 20 km away.

Wassenberg is a charming town.

Wassenberg is a charming town. First of all, there's the tower, called Bergfried. You have to get keys to enter the tower. There's also a circular walkway with large signs. There's also the TOR nature park, which takes about an hour and a half to explore. The old town is pleasant but not particularly special. It's a bit small and cramped.

Good and friendly staff, clean rooms, they should indicate whether a room has a shower or bath or both, breakfast was good, only the music was old-fashioned, we also indicated. Dinner was very good. Bicycle rental was not available, but you also did not get any advice on where you could rent a bike. Wassenberg has a beautiful park, but few restaurants that were open.

Both the area and the hotel are highly recommended.

Both the area and the hotel are highly recommended. You can eat well and at a reasonable price, and there are also several good restaurants nearby. Whether you're cycling or walking, you can really enjoy this region!

A pleasant, charming town center (Rosstor) within walking...

A pleasant, charming town center (Rosstor) within walking distance of our accommodation: Burg Wassenberg. A location with a historic feel; good food and plenty to see. And you don't need to set an alarm for 7:00 a.m. because St. Georg's Church is right outside ;-)

On May 1, 2023 (around 10:30 a.m.), it was not possible to withdraw money from the Volksbank branch in Wassenberg (town center). The closed shutters on the two ATMs inside prevented access. However, there is a Sparkasse branch nearby (on the same street).

Beautiful surroundings, cozy hotel, recently renovated rooms, very comfortable mattrasses from Auping (it rare even in expensive hotels), free big parking, easy self check-in. We stayed only one night but definitely go back if we are in the area nearby

This was my 4th stay at this place. This is says all..... I wish the hotel restaurant was open for dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays. It was a shame to miss a great dinner.
