If you are a photography afficionado Wetzlar is a good place to visit. And please note: you don't need to be a Leica fanboy/girl to enjoy what Leica has to offer in terms of exhibitions and information at their Leica World. Wetzlar is a gorgeous old town with loads of history. There is a beautiful park along both sides of the river and activities such as canoeing available.
