This is an amazing hotel renovated in a historic building with a delightful mix of classic and modern. We had both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was fantastic. I was especially impressed with the breakfast as everything was above standard. The staff was all so friendly and reached out to make our short stay memorable. A private parking garage and even a charger for our ecar.

I stayed for just one night and overall had a pleasant experience. The check-in was smooth, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient for my travel plans. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast great. Since it was a short stay, I didn’t use many facilities, but everything I needed was provided. A good option for a quick stopover.

A very special place. Booked this last mintue (30 minutes before arriving) as our initial booked hotel looked rather scary. We were so glad to have discovered this gem and just a jump from the Autobahn. Although the rooms are not big (no mini-fridge or kettle etc) they make up for it in style with a decent-sized shower. Francisca at reception was kind enough to show us a couple of different rooms as we struggle to sleep with noise. She was beyond accomodating. Goes without saying that the room was immaculate. There are spa facilities here, but as it was just a quick overnight stay we didn't use any of those options. Also big thanks to Frankie in the restaurant - a breath of fresh air - she made us feel extremely welcome in the wonderful beer garden. As advertised the breakfast was a feast and good coffee too with even the choice of filter or espresso.

Very convenient stopover place next to the Stuttgart-Munich...

Very convenient stopover place next to the Stuttgart-Munich autobahn. It is two minutes from the motorway and has a fantastic brewery (Schwarzbrau) with its own superb restaurant serving German cooking with the beers all kept perfectly. There's some good accommodation, especially the Adler, and even a 2km running route around a duck-filled lake. Cycling routes etc too. Great for an overnight stop.

Despite having relatives in town, I prefer this hotel... that way I'm not a burden on anyone and I don't stir up any envy or resentment among them... because you know the sayings... "why them and not us"... and I can still visit my relatives.

A lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast.

A lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast. Just outside the village, along the highway, is a new charging station for electric vehicles, buses, and cars! Fast chargers range from AC to DC, including Tesla chargers! Food and drinks are also available. On our way back a week later, we used it again for charging and eating.

Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the place for long, as our visit was to my relatives in nearby Augsburg. But we'll definitely spend a longer holiday in Zusmarshausen sometime, since it's not far from there to the Allgäu region. Augsburg and Ulm (in the opposite direction) aren't far from Zusmarshausen either.

We only stayed one night in Zusmarshausen, on our way to and from Austria. We think it's an excellent stopover town, close to the autobahn, so we didn't waste much time. We didn't actually visit the village itself. The beer in Zusmarshausen is excellent, from the local brewery "Schwarzbrau."

Quiet location, yet close to the nearest motorway junction,...

Quiet location, yet close to the nearest motorway junction, supermarket, petrol station, restaurants – everything you need is there. Legoland is a 25-minute drive away, and there are many other attractions nearby, such as the Steiff Museum, Ulm, and the Charlottenhöhle cave.

The room was simple but nice. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was quite big with a bath and shower cabin. The restaurant had tasty food and a traditional atmosphere. Everybody was super friendly and helpful. The hotel has a good location, too. It has a parking place, it's close to the center and also easy to reach from the highway. We will definitely stay again there if traveling through the region.

Fantastic stay, the breakfast was delicious! Room was very clean. The hosts are very kind and helpful. We had the chance and luck of dining at the hotel, and what a pleasant experience!
