If you are looking for a quite, basic and slightly secluded place to charge up your batteries and explore Bornholm pick this place. The accomodation is the essentials, which i prefer, its clean, very well kept and tidy. I think a better place is hard to come by. I will for sure be back.

Very friendly service. We could access our room before noon and could also stay an hour longer in the morning. Room standard is simple, but the price matched it, so we highly recommend staying there, if you just need a room for an overnight stay.

This is absolutely the cutest little place to stay, especially if you love animals as me. It’s a real authentic old farm house with the cutest animals and sweet staff. The breakfast were better than we thought and the view from the porch over the field and the sea was amazing to sit in the morning. I will absolutely be coming back to this place again.

Gudhjem is a lovely place to visit and stay. We stayed there nights and wanted to stay longer. Kids were very happy with the Halloween arrangements specially straw labyrinth. Ice cream from Gudhjem Is and Kjærstrup chocolade was exceptional. Seafood from Gudhjem Røgeri was delicious.

Great town, it is pretty much seen in a single day.

Great town, it is pretty much seen in a single day. I recommend the restaurant “spektakel” who makes delicious burgers (meat and vegetarian). And if you are into long walks, the path to hellifdomsklipperne is great.

See the town if you think you can't have been to Bornholm...

See the town if you think you can't have been to Bornholm without being in Gudhjem, but otherwise there are so many other exciting places on the island. Many eateries along the harbor, departure to Christians and Frederiks islands. Park on the hill above the town

The town is small and charming.

The town is small and charming. We didn't manage to take the ferry to Christianson because the cruises were canceled due to weather. After 7:00 PM, the town comes to a standstill (at least in September) – everything is closed. Even the local "Biedronka" (a discount supermarket) is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Cozy but hilly village with small shops here and there. Getting around is best done on foot. Good that they try to keep driving down the small streets with parking outside the village center. Good ice cream down in the harbor!

A super nice well located hotel. In the middle of a hill. So walk slowly uphill and it's manageable. Really good hotel. Everything is fine there. Super breakfast. Really good room with lots of space. And beds you sleep well in. .

Excellent location of both, the town (Gudhjem) and the property in the town. We were lucky and we've got a property with a (partial) sea view - sweet. There are 2 playgrounds. Probably the best WiFi connection I've ever seen in the hotels or other places where I stayed on my trips. Very easy and convenient to check in and out and to park a car. A kitchenet is tiny but it is equipped with everything you need.

Another excellent stay at Melsted. Wanted to book 4 nights but stayed only two as hotel was booked for an event. Had dinner two nights at the restaurant. Excellent experience both nights and I strongly recommend to make reservations - it was packed. Breakfast great with good options, cappucino available at extra cost. Will be back next yr.

Clean and nice apartment, beautiful quiet and green surroundings. The apartment I rented had a sea view from the living room and had evening sun on a very spacious balcony/terrace. The apartment is located a few kilometers outside Gudhjem.
