We arrived late in the evening and had no trouble checking in, as the keys were left in a box at the entrance to the apartments. The apartments are located right in the center, near the town hall, and less than a 10-minute walk from the train station in a straight line. Being in the center gives easy access to all the amenities—transportation, cafes, and attractions are all within walking distance. The entrance to the apartments is directly from the street, and they are on the ground floor, which makes you feel like part of the town. It's a pleasant experience overall.

Located between the lakes Nørresø and Søndersø, this hotel is 400 metres from Maribo Train Station. Guests can relax on the terrace which offers views of the water and surrounding parkland.

I stayed at Hotel Saxkjøbing for a night and was genuinely impressed. The building itself is beautiful, full of history and atmosphere, with lovely old details that make it feel very special. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. It’s not a luxury hotel, but everything feels genuine. The restaurant is definitely worth visiting for dinner too. The food is simple but beautifully prepared and based on local ingredients I've been told. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant and authentic hotel experiences I’ve had in Denmark. If you enjoy historical buildings, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere, Hotel Saxkjøbing is absolutely worth a visit.

We really enjoyed the warm welcome, the nice room, and the good bed. The breakfast was also just right with freshly baked buns and a perfectly boiled eggs. We will be back.

It was quiet and well cleaned. In front of the house there is a large football field that is perfect for a family with a few children. I recommend here for families with children.
