We loved staying at this property. It felt like home and all 3 children voted this their favorite place on our Danish vacation. We were invited to eat the veggies growing in the greenhouse and were able to get some laundry done. All of us particularly liked the sunroom, reading and relaxing there. We stayed in apartment 7. It was very spacious and well appointed. Decorations tastefully done and kitchen was well equipped with good quality utensils, crockery and pots. The bathroom and shower are very modern and spacious as well. It also has a comfortable couch outside with blanket so one can enjoy relaxing in the morning sun. It is a motel so is on a "main" road, but we heard no traffic noise at night. Owners very helpful and attentive. A short walk to the Paper Museum and the Sand Castle and Sculpture exhibit is also within walking distance, but if you want to go to the beach or main town, you at least need a bicycle. Blokhus Bageri is highly recommended for lovely breads, pastries and coffee. Be prepared to queue at popular times :). Løkken Strand is also worth a visit for the exposed German bunkers.

    After submitting a nearly perfect review because we had a...

    After submitting a nearly perfect review because we had a truly wonderful stay and the house was beautiful, I would like to change it, solely based on the huge gas/ water/ electricity bill we received afterwards. For one week we were billed 596€. When we arrived, the house was extremely hot. All the heat was turned up to an unnecessarily high setting. We were there in the middle of the summer. We turned off all heating to the house to save on energy and didn't heat the house all week long. The only one heater we weren't allowed to change was the pool heating. We were asked to open the windows to prevent it from getting too hot in the pool room. Now we know, that we basically wasted a ton of money. The numbers of the meters provided to us in the settlement after our stay do not match with the numbers on the pictures we took upon check-out. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the meters upon arrival. But it is highly questionable that those numbers match up if the check-out numbers already don't match up. Please beware of the extremely high consumption bill coming your way if you stay at this house. If it was anywhere mentioned that one should expect to pay almost 600€ on top of the booking price, which wasn't cheap either, we could have prepared for it and/or possibly decided to stay somewhere else.
