First and foremost the host was warm and including. I had the priviledge to say hi and goodnight to all the animals at Blåbjerg Barn. The surroundings are beautiful and the flat upstairs was mine alone - quiet, nice and clean with sun in the morning. A place to revisit.

We loved the location and the gorgeous buildings in the old parts of Møgeltunder where the kro is located.. Great area for walks, especially when the weather is on your side. The Schackenborg castle is next door. Our room was located upstairs in a qute house next to the main building. The room was petite but still spacious, considering the time when the house was built. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries, and it had a bathtub. The breakfast was extraordinary with a good spread from local producers as well as other Danish foods. Lovely porcelain and ambience. The staff was very hospitable and friendly. Especially the staff at the time for our arrival when the reception was closed. They had to leave their duties at the restaurant to give us the things missing in our room as it was only set up for one person. A minor error, but they really got out of their ways to set it straight. The garden was lovely as lovely as well.

Cozy town, pedestrian street with several empty shops, remember to visit the smaller side streets and parks in the city, and visit Højer and their sausage shop, not so many places to eat, so book a table, and pizza Pavarotti they make the best food And lovely nature around the city Definitely worth a visit

Denmark's oldest city contains so much history that it is surprising that the city does not promote itself more. However, it was not easy to get around the city by car as much was closed and even though our GPS was updated it went wrong. Good restaurants and cozy streets with beautiful old houses

We were only in Tønder when the shops were closed and ate at...

We were only in Tønder when the shops were closed and ate at Øster Højst Kro. The two dinners we had were fantastic. Good "old-fashioned" food. In Løgum Monastery we saw the St. Hans bonfire and heard some from the College singing and playing and the Monastery choir also sang.

Tønder is a nice town.

Tønder is a nice town. We had lunch at Café Victoria, which is a nice place, and the food was good. In the evening we ate at a pizzaria. I don't remember the name, but it was in a basement. We walked around to everything.

A small, charming Christmas market with lots of handcrafted items. Decorated Christmas trees in the Gazen town. The old pharmacy, with its selection of decorations, is always worth a visit. Pleasant little shops.

A lovely, quiet, and manageable place.

A lovely, quiet, and manageable place. Good breakfast, for example at the monastery café. Good pizza at Pavarotti. Good food at Cafe Victoria. A nice little shopping street with the usual employee-friendly opening hours. A stress-free place.

Breakfast was excellent, food was very high quality and good selection. Main restaurant is high end and only set menu, but the castle restaurant in the grounds was very good and with reasonable prices for Denmark. Hotel in adjacent to a royal residence, with free entry into the beautiful gardens. No TV in room which we liked.
