I stayed at Hotel Saxkjøbing for a night and was genuinely impressed. The building itself is beautiful, full of history and atmosphere, with lovely old details that make it feel very special. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. It’s not a luxury hotel, but everything feels genuine. The restaurant is definitely worth visiting for dinner too. The food is simple but beautifully prepared and based on local ingredients I've been told. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant and authentic hotel experiences I’ve had in Denmark. If you enjoy historical buildings, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere, Hotel Saxkjøbing is absolutely worth a visit.

Everything was perfect, good beds, warm welcome, comfortabel general room for relaxing and very nice breakfast with homemade bread. The bonus was the possibility of electric charging of the car.

Since we required a wheelchair-accessible room and didn't...

Since we required a wheelchair-accessible room and didn't receive one, even one night was too long. For people traveling without a wheelchair, Toreby is probably highly recommended. The café in the art museum had a good selection of light meals, but unfortunately, we couldn't visit the hotel restaurant due to numerous stairs and broken elevators.
