The hospitality is next level, the staff is so friendly and kind. The room is very clean, the bed is very comfortable. And the hotel is a quiet place i didn't hear any loud people making noise. Very good place to be . By the way I forgot my ID over there thay call me on whatsapp to tell that I had left my ID behind. Honest people really a very good staff they didn’t even want to take the tips i was given them and still provided a very professional welcoming Thank you guys i will be back for sure.

Our room had ice cold A/C and the shower had plenty of hot water. The hotel is brand new and the staff is excellent. Jeremy was especially helpful with any questions we had. We had a great stay at Melina Hotel and we will definitely stay here again next time we’re in sunny Higuey.

The location is eleven minutos from Playa Macao, the best beach to enjoy the ultimate Dominican experience. On top of that the small cottage is partially made of Palma Real, an authentic farm home from Quisqueya Bella. The entire family serve as hosts. You are not a turist; you are family to them. That is a blessing!

A fantastic boutique hotel resort; great rooms, great service and a great location.

George and the staff felt like a family! We felt at home right away, and George told us how to get around, what to expect, where to eat, etc. When we asked about sim cards, he offered to drive us and get them right away, which he did. Extremely helpful, since we had just arrived in the country and hadn't gotten our bearings just yet. Every morning we got breakfast in the outdoor kitchen and dining area. The coffee was excellent, and the food was amazing; everything cooked right there by a very friendly woman. We got different tropical fruits like papaya, banana, melon, then followed up by scrambled eggs, toast, milk and juices. Perfect! One morning they made some Colombian breakfast cakes too, made of corn, cheese, and something delicious, fried in a pan. Kept us going the whole day:) They had some clothes lines out back where you could hang your clothes or towels from the beach. It is humid in this country, so eventually you will need to hang dry everything in the sun. Three beautiful and friendly dogs lay around in the shade all day, and greet you with wagging tails every time you pass them:) Also; The restaurant next door was super nice, with the friendliest staff. The grilled chicken is super good, and you can ask them for any additional spices or sides like you want it. Good rum, cold beer, great people. Everyone from the neighborhood gathered there on the evenings, and had food, drinks and a good time. These two places located on the same street made our stay in Macao perfect. The overall warm feeling of this place is amazing. 10 minute walk to the beach, where you can rent surfboards, or just lay in the natural shade of the mangroves and palm trees. Small shops for basic groceries or a bottle of rum and a beer. ATM just down the street. Perfect base for a couple of nights if what you need is peace, quiet, beach, and good food and people.The rooms are simple, but have good AC, which is very welcome in the humid and warm climate.

My recent stay at Live Aqua Punta Cana was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, the staff's genuine warmth and friendly smiles made me feel instantly welcome. The entertainment staff was incredibly funny and always managed to keep the energy high. Food was another highlight of my trip. The variety and quality were impressive, from the delicious buffets to the fantastic à la carte restaurants. Special shout-out to Rose at the Mexican restaurant for her amazing service, and to Mariza, my housekeeper, for always keeping my room spotless. Even the little things made a big difference. A friendly smile from Julio at breakfast offering me a steaming cup of "Punta Cana coffee" was the perfect way to start each day. Live Aqua truly has it all: a stunning location, impeccable service, delicious food, and fantastic entertainment. If you're looking for a relaxing yet fun-filled getaway, look no further!
