Perfect secluded-feeling spot along the beach, only 10 minutes walk into town. Our room was large (with air-conditioning) and had ample outdoor space to hang out. The owners are really friendly and helpful and their dogs and bird are very cute. We started by staying here 5 days and ended up staying 3 weeks we loved it so much. Great place to come and slooooow down. You won't regret staying here!

Casa Olmito is directly in front of the beach, there are hammocks in different floors so youll enjoy the view 100% The stuff is super polite and always attentive for any matter. The rooms are very cleamd and the veds really comfortable. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will stay there again the next time!

A beautiful, quiet town on a beautiful beach.

A beautiful, quiet town on a beautiful beach. Plenty of seafood restaurants. The town basically has one road, so its easy to find your way around. The beach is long enough for an easy hour long walk in either direction from the town.

Canoa is one of my favorite beaches in Ecuador.

Canoa is one of my favorite beaches in Ecuador. You create your own atmosphere; the beach is majestic and it boasts a unique climate. The best place to spend time with friends and family. And don't forget to try the grilled clams at Saboreame #2—they're the best!

Are you kidding me? A little gem in the middle of nowhere! A super easy walk into town if you want to mix it up, but just far enough away to enjoy a peaceful setting right on the beach. With the super friendly staff and kitchen in the room, it felt like a home away from home. The gardens were beautiful, and the rooms are decorated with fun art depicting the Canoa area.

Beautiful hostal, warm welcome, very helpful staff 😀 Room was spacious and clean, great fan and mozzie net, good size bathroom en suite. Use of kitchen and lots of hammocks to chill in. Just a few mins walk to beach and all shops and cafes ... Canoa is a great place, lovely vibe, and Rutamar is an excellent place to stay there - highly recommend!

It's a really nice place. It has a garden with hammocks and two outside kitchens. The staff was super friendly and helped me with any questions. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Advice: take some cash with you. You can't pay with creditcard there and Canoa has no ATM.

Hostal Rutamar is amazing, it's perfect to relax and enjoy Canoa, friendly staff. The kitchen is well furnished, we cooked almost all our meals. You can rent surf boards for a very good price, unfortunalty it's not flexible (4hours only) so we had to go somewhere else.
