Very friendly and helpful staff, we felt very welcome from check in. The rooms are very comfortable and we had a room with a wonderful view of Chimborazo. As others have said there is some noise from the road but nothing at all that disturbed our sleep. There are some very nice common areas for guests to spend time in. And we were told that we were welcome to make use of the kitchen. It is in a good location next to the historical centre. There is also a market 2 minutes away where you can buy traditional Ecuadorian plates for very good prices.

I had a great stay at Casa de Marmol. Everything was perfect: the house and the rooms are very beautiful, comfortable. The kitchen, the living room, the rooftop... we feel very good! special mention for the kindness of Irma, always attentive and smiling. Very comfortable and immaculately clean small hotel on a quiet street. All the staff were super friendly and worked very hard to make sure we had a great stay. Special mention to Luis in this respect. There is a cafe/restaurant which served an excellent steak, followed by a very good apple cake. Breakfast was fine with omlette and toasties on offer with good coffee. Secure parking is available at another property nearby,, and a lift was available to and from there.
