The hotel was clean and quiet and had good amenities. We enjoyed using the pool and the breakfast that was included. I booked and made the mistake of not checking that the price online included everything so was surprise when at check in it was higher but they did explain to me price did not include taxes and it did say on the website not quite clearly but I hadn't noticed. Hosts were welcoming and great. The beach right outside wasn't quite nice as hoped but Olon beach was a 7 min drive and is a family friendly beach and was lovely.

This is not a lux resort but quite adequate for my needs. Clean, safe, small variety (But plenty unless you are maybe staying longer than a couple of weeks) of good restaurants though many do not open until early evening. Love the uncrowded beach.

Not the slightest bit crowded. Some really good restaurants, nice wide, long beach. Umbrellas and chairs to rent already set up on the beach. Drinks and cabana restaurants right on the beach. Olón is very compact and easily walkable,

It's a peaceful place where you can walk around at night...

It's a peaceful place where you can walk around at night without any worries. There are free live music shows with excellent sound in the evenings. The place is very clean and the people are very friendly. Breakfast at Noah's is excellent, the churros from the churro shop are delicious, and the artisanal pizzas just around the corner are fantastic—everything is great.

Olón was beautiful and the food was incredible. I had the best cazuela of my life at a restaurant right on the beach called Mar del Sol. The people are very friendly and they have a taxi service that was very helpful when I wanted to leave the hotel.

A very beautiful and wide beach with opportunities for surfing. Good food on the beach, though a bit pricey. The water and the beach were very, very clean, and the locals were very friendly. The village is simple, but we were mainly there for swimming.

I loved the safety and peace of Olon. Its beach is long and clean. The people are very friendly and the food is excellent. I recommend the ceviches at Don Villón. What I didn't like is that there's a lack of lighting on the beach in certain areas.

Ellen and her family are the kindest hosts you could ask for! They were very communicative and helped us get to the accommodation, as well as helping us once we were there. Accommodation was clean and it feels like a very safe place. For anyone traveling from oversees - Ellen asks for a 50% deposit which you need to transfer via a payment service. This is normal for Ecuador and you can trust her :-). Olon and the beach is amazing, great surfing any many cute cafes. Would recommend!

If you're looking for a paradise in seclusion, you've come to the right place. The hotel is owner-operated, is located in the middle of the cloud forest, has a pool, offers fantastically good massages and has a phenomenal view of the sea and the surrounding landscape. A restaurant serving freshly prepared Ecuadorian cuisine rounds out the offerings. The staff speaks mostly only Spanish, but thanks to Google Translate and hands and feet, it can all be managed.
