We can hardly believe that we were lucky enough to come across this hotel by chance. The Nile compound is a paradisiacal hotel far away from the tourist hustle of the city center and I recommend it to everyone for a stay in Luxor - you won't find anything better. It's like a little oasis of peace where you feel at home and yet you can reach the center very quickly by cab or tuktuk. We received a very warm welcome here and immediately decided to stay an extra night, because you don't often find such a beautiful place. Our bungalow was right on the Nile and we had a wonderful view. We were also able to order first-class local food and drinks or shisha at very fair prices. All the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly and always on hand to help when we needed advice (for example, we had a problem with an outside cab driver who charged more than we had agreed and they were on hand immediately to sort the situation out for us). The owner Mahmoud made sure we were provided with everything around the clock and we have rarely felt so comfortable - we will definitely be back to stay longer!

The hosts Mustafa and Mohammed are exeptional. They were so helpful with everything! The apartment is spacious and has wonderful open rooms with high ceilings. It is located on the West Bank of Luxor, which is much more chill than the busy East Bank of the city. We loved our stay!

Relaxing and calm place. The owner has quick response all the time and speaks English very well. We can ask him to arrange the tour, rental car etc by WhatsApp. The location is very local but Nile River View is so nice. Blanket is clean and we had enough hot shower. Strongly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Habu Heritage Home in Luxor's West Bank, boasting the most splendid view of the Habu Temple. The location is unbeatable, and the added bonus of being situated above a delightful restaurant was simply superb. The breakfast spread offered an array of delectable treats, including bread, feta cheese, foul, pancakes, marmalade, coffee, and much more, ensuring a perfect start to the day. The owners of the restaurant, a father and daughter duo, were simply the most charming hosts one could ever ask for. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and even prepared delicious lunch boxes for our long day trips. The warmth and kindness of the entire staff were palpable, creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. During our stay, we had the pleasure of meeting Black, a charming street dog, and Tonga, a falcon that frequented the place. These delightful creatures added a unique and enchanting touch to the overall experience. I cannot recommend it enough. The location, combined with the incredible hospitality of the owners and staff, made it an unforgettable experience. I will definitely be returning!

Our stay at this hotel was simply outstanding. After a string of disappointing accommodations in Egypt, it was a relief to find a place where everything was impeccable. From the warm reception to the spacious rooms and indulgent hydrophobic bath, every detail surpassed our expectations. The terrace overlooking the Nile, the inviting pool, and the option for a scenic boat ride from the pier added to its allure. We only wish we could have extended our stay. The Pavilion Winter is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well-positioned. Our room was tastefully decorated, clean and spacious with a good-sized bathroom complete with bathrobes, slippers and lovely toiletries. During our stay there were 3 dining options on site but you need to be smartly dressed for 2 of them, so we opted for the "casual" BBQ which is served near the swimming pool. There is a buffet offering a variety of vegetables and starters, which changes daily. The meat is brought to the table on a small charcoal grill and is excellent. Various wines are served. Local wines go for around 900 EGP a bottle and were good. The service was excellent and the waiters are very friendly and attentive. It was my birthday and they brought a cake and flowers to the table and I was seranaded by all the waiters. Really special! The breakfast is also a buffet and there is a really good range of products plus tea, coffee, fruit juice etc. Room service is available 24hr. The swimming pool is stunning (and heated) and you can order food and drinks from the bar there until around 5pm. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again. There are security guards outside the hotel complex and the only negative aspect is that the minute you go out of the hotel you are hassled by touts (not the hotel's fault obviously!). We walked a little way down the road and got a taxi for 150Egp to Karnak. The local going rate for a taxi is 100-150EGP for a single journey but you need to establish the price before you get in the taxi. The touts outside the hotel ask for 400.
