We didn't intentionally choose to stay in Balaguer, as we were looking for lodging in Lleida, and La Casa del Miracle in Balaguer appeared as an option. (excellent place to stay). Balaguer is a historic town at the base of the pre-Pyrenees with a very interesting Museum (de la Noguera), a Saturday market in the central plaza, and is a terrific base for exploring and hiking in the Montroig and Montsec mountains. There are many wineries in the area.Guest review byGeorgeSpain

The stay, apartment is in one word great. Everything is finished to perfection with an eye for detail. The apartment but also the building exudes history and can be experienced in this way. The accompanying breakfast with delicious local dishes is highly recommended. The hospitality of both ladies was such that you have to come back.
