Our stay at the Alahuar Hotel was wonderful. The location is fantastic, the bungalow was beautiful, tidy, with a balcony and a view of the mountains. There was a pool with sun loungers. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The restaurant dishes were excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

We can't fault our stay, it was 3 hrs from where we live but...

We can't fault our stay, it was 3 hrs from where we live but we needed to be there for work. That was our main reason for staying, but picked El CID because it was close to where we were working, it offered breakfast and private parking.

They tried to scam me because they didn't provide a reliable payment method (the account number they gave me was an international account, and my bank wouldn't let me make the transfer). After apologizing, they refused my request for a free cancellation. I had to stay in another nearby accommodation for the same price.

Hotel halfway between Benidoleig and Cueva Calaveras.

Hotel halfway between Benidoleig and Cueva Calaveras. Saturday market in Xaloc and cooperative. Guadalest with its castle and museums. Well connected to Denia, Benidorm, and Ontinyent. Two good Italian restaurants in Orba. The cave is highly recommended.

The reception was appalling...

The reception was appalling... The person complained about being alone and not being able to do everything. We had to put up with her bad mood. What a lovely atmosphere! Getting a small plate of potatoes took three hours... Were we really that bothered? What a lack of professionalism! Who do they think they're kidding?

The Cave of Skulls, despite being small, is very beautiful! We loved it. We recommend the Ballesta restaurant: modern, welcoming, good food (and good prices) and attentive and friendly staff (we went back two nights). The village is near Denia.

It's a small, quiet town, with many tourists, especially...

It's a small, quiet town, with many tourists, especially English ones. Essential services are available (supermarket, pharmacy, bars, restaurants). The seaside resorts and a large shopping center can be reached in 10-30 minutes on a good road.

Small hotel in a beautiful setting, and lovely outside space with swimming pool and sunloiungers. Covered canopy with seating, ideal to sit and chill with a drink. Comfortable room with a large balcony. Friendly staff. Beautiful views. Had dinner in the hotel which was delicious.

What a very nice hotel! The staff were so friendly, and wonderful, like the El Cid country club itself. Nice room with spacious terrace. Staff were very welcoming and they even cooked us a good meal when the kitchen was closed.

Family run hotel , not super lux , but then you re not paying for that . Very friendly folk willing to stop and have a chat . Set in a pleasant country location in the orange groves not far from the coast . Good value for money

A lovely hotel set in a beautiful location. Rooms were spacious and close together for our family, staff were very helpful. Setting was gorgeous, continental breakfast fresh in the morning. Would definitely return.
