A great hotel where everything went perfectly right from the start. From the friendly check in to the check out. I would like to mention the design of the hotel and its location - this is something for people who appreciate chic and comfort. The breakfasts and service at it were also very impressive and that too with the combination of the beautiful view from the terrace. In my opinion this is definitely the best hotel in the beautiful city of Bilbao

    Beautiful city, lots to explore and a long weekend is doable but so much to explore, beaches only 35 minutes away on the metro. Great shopping a lovely bars, cafes and restaurants to explore. Get barik card travel so cheap. Card is €3 to buy and top up are minimum of €5, two travellers can get round the whole weekend on around €10 You can have up to 9 travellers on one card you just tap them in and then tap again.

    Lots of excellent restaurant along with smaller bars and pubs. Walkiing along the river was relaxing and visually appealing. Guggenheim is a prime location for a visit. 30 minute walk along the river from our hotel.

    We had no preconceived idea of what Bilbao would be like.

    We had no preconceived idea of what Bilbao would be like. Only went to see the Guggenheim etc but was amazed at the cafes, bars, pastry shops, fashionable people, clothing stores. Would love to go back for another stay!

    The museums, the stadion, the nice riverside, the bulevards, the parks, the pintchos, the drinks, etc. The market hall and the dirrerent small squares were excellent surprises, and their were pop up shops as well. I have to reurtn this city to a football match with friends.

    Very easy walking; lots of cafes / bars / restaurants. Old town interesting but not very friendly and doesn't really have a 'vibe'. Interesting history and obviously works hard to maintain an image as a place to visit. Guggenheim amazing; Catedral de Santiago is beautiful from the outside but were not able to go in - expect it's fabulous inside. Weather variable and unpredictable.

    The room (size, layout, amenities) was excellent, the location of the hotel is great (right next to the Guggenheim and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bilbao, on the river and a 20 min walk to the old town). Breakfast and the hotel bar are great. Francis on reception is a wonderful member of staff. She greeted us warmly and was helpful and efficient each day with the queries I had about the town.

    This hotel is situated right in the heart of the city, a few minutes walk from the main centre and the old town. Rooms were comfy and the view over the river spectacular. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was good, for the price, as were drinks in the bar. Highly recommend the Bilbao Plaza for a leisure break or business trip.

    This ideally located hotel in Bilbao Old Town looks very modest on the outside but, once you get in, it is exceptional.
