Gorgeous room and location of the hotel. Helpful host who accommodated our request for a bath tub. The surroundings of the hotel are very serene. Breakfast was fantastic- proper coffee and fresh orange juice!

    Colunga is just off the coast and probably 2km to the west...

    Colunga is just off the coast and probably 2km to the west of Hotel Los Caspios. It is a busy, nice little town with plenty of bars and eating places. The Church dominates the centre. There are a couple of ATMs there too, but beware, they charge for withdrawing, especially Sterling to Euros.

    The service was excellent, Fernando is amazing, so friendly, professional and accommodating. He made us feel like we were in a 5* hotel. Very personal service, very suitable to pilgrims. The food was good and convenient, as you can eat just downstairs. The showers have great water pressure, the rooms have central heating, the beds were comfortable, the style of the place is surprisingly modern, considering it was a 2* hotel I highly recommend it.

    I think the fact that we stayed at El Foyu on our outward journey 5 weeks ago and chose to stay there again on our return journey says it all. The hotel is charming and situated in a quiet rural area with a lovely view of part of the Picos de Europe. The bed was large and comfy and the bathroom superlatively clean. The breakfast was varied and plentiful.

    The staff were so warm and helpful particularly the lovely Patricia. The hotel is quirky, full of character with a beautiful garden where we enjoyed drinks. It sits on the Camino route and is a delightful stop off.
