Anthony and Ian spent two and a half years renovating this beautiful old house and even longer finding it, and the love and flair they put into the place is obvious the moment you step through the door: beautiful old tiled floors and original shutters work in harmony alongside the modern/rustic decor and the atmosphere is relaxed and very friendly. There’s plenty of attention to the details that make a difference… nice bedding, linen napkins, a really good hair drier (rare!) We loved our spacious room and waking up to views of the garden and a mandarin tree that supplied juice for breakfast. Oh, and fantastic vistas from the rooftop bar - to one side the region’s celebrity mountain; to the other the church tower. A great place to watch the sun set and get stuck in to a glass or two from the honesty bar. Ian and Anthony are fab and so is their place. Go! It’s a gem in one of the region’s nicest and least touristy white villages.

Prime location: a few steps from the only main square in Competa, and yet very silent. Superb two-tiered roof terraces. Delightful attention to detail in the renovation of this 100+ year old house: original locks, tiling, windows& doors were kept and rooms smartly and discretely redesigned to suit modern standards (wet areas & heating). The owners obviously wished to share their dream of a loving happy place to live. Prices are very decent given the quality. Ideal for solos, couples and families. I shall return.

The apartment was newly renovated and had everything we needed. And the pool area was spectacular with amazing views. We only stayed one night because we had another booking already paid, otherwise we would have stayed more nights, for sure. A big thanks to Christianne and Wayne, the hosts, for their hospitality. A very sweet couple!

This hotel has been beautifully renovated, and the character of the building has remained. The entrance and reception area is beautiful and very comfortable and feels very welcoming with comfortable seating and a peaceful vibe. Just beyond the reception area, there is a fantastic communal kitchen that provides everything you could want & need. Everything is brand new, and the kitchen area is spotlessly clean throughout. We made use of this kitchen for breakfast on our 2 night stay in this fantastic place. When we return (which we fully intend to), we will return with friends and make full use of the communal kitchen. The location of the hotel is perfect with the main square area only around 1 min walk. From our room (upgraded to family deluxe), the views from the balcony were beautiful, looking over the town and beyond to the sea. The balcony was very large and a great area to relax with a beer. There was also a roof terrace, again with amazing views and equipped with sun loungers to soak up the rays.. The room itself was perfect. Perfect size and perfectly clean. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is truly appreciated in its style. Full marks for this hotel and one that we will definitely return to in the wonderful village of Competa.

    A beautiful Pueblo Blanco, with quiet, narrow streets, stunning architecture and fantastic restaurants. It's worth the extra drive up the mountain, and it's easy to get back down to the beaches when you want to.

    Lovely little town (village) some small places around ti visit as well. Bike rental shop in the centre, lots of restaurants, bars, some flat paths buts mainly up and down the hill. Safe, quiet place, great community.Good internet signal in town.

    Cómpeta is a small, beautiful and quaint little town on the Andalusia mountains, surrounded by wineries and winding roads. Cute little restaurants, bars and cafés for eating or watching the world go by. You can drive to the town square but it's easiest to walk around and explore the little alleys and shops. It has a slight hippie vibe to it with many crystal shops. Very queer friendly. We spotted raindow flags all around the city and tons of queer folk. Would recommend for anyone looking for a little escape from the city.

    A lovely little town with great small shops and two medium sized grocery stores where you can get everything you need for the stay. On Saturdays a lovely little market in the town square with local produce and textiles.

    A lovely location.

    A lovely location. Well worth visiting this incredible Spanish village. Very welcoming and friendly. Evening meal enjoyed at small restaurant in the central square enjoyed immensely. Great experience exploring and wandering the streets of the Old Town and experiencing what one imagines is the real Spanish lifestyle. Town market on Saturday. Several streets fairly steep and suggest bearing this in mind.

    The hosts are very welcoming and do everything to make your stay very enjoyable. The location is beautiful and the property facilities are first class. The breakfast is amazing and served with a fantastic view of the hills and the distant sea. The evening meal is equally top class and great value for money. Competa is a lovely town and the area has many walking trails. The heated pool is perfect for relaxing and the hot tub is always available. George, the dog, is an added bonus. We will return next time we are in the area.

    It is a fantastic accomodation in the downtown of Cómpeta. The owner is very friendly and the communication was also very good and easy with him, he explained previously everything. The accomodation is not reachable by car, but there are free parking possibilities a few minutes away. And the breakfast was wonderful. Antonio served it in his nice restaurant. It was our best breakfast in our long Spanish holiday. I can absolutely recommend this place.

    Anthony & Ian are the best hosts, and Casa Jardin is a gem of a place just moments from the main square and the numerous excellent bars and restaurants Competa has to offer! Unfortunately, we missed the ceremonial filling of the new swimming pool by a day or two, but this new addition looks amazing and will no doubt make Casa Jardin even better!     The house was beautiful, spacious for two families. The pool was perfect to keep the kids entertained. The house was well equipped with kitchen utensils, towels and linens. A beautiful view all the way down to the coast from the top terrace. Competa town was just a 3 min drive or a hilly 20 min walk. We would highly recommend and would return.
