We chose Frigiliana as we wanted a walking holiday, so being away from the beach didn't bother us. The village was bigger than expected and had a good selection of bars and restaurants. Prices for eating out were a little better than expected. It did get busy at times, but it seems there's a few visitors come on organised tours. Frigliana is a beautiful little town clinging to the mountainside - so obviously it's hilly! There are plenty of brilliant restaurants and bars available - some of the ones on the main drag are a bit touristy, but up in the old town and on the outskirts, there are plenty of family-run wonderful places serving home cooked food. One bar in particular - Vinos El Lager serving a glass of local wine & a Pincho for 2 Euro and... it was good! Great start to an evening. I also heartily recommend Puerto Blanquillo Frigiliana Restaurant on the South Side of the village. Fantastic seafood at great prices and brilliant with the kids. Great town although the centre can be quite busy in the morning with tour coaches. Loads of fantastic restaurants. Great walking trails. I'm always able to get a good nights sleep as the town is quite quiet at night. Personally I really like this village. I like it so much I would like to buy a property here. The people are friendly and helpful and have a great sense of community. The highlight is the balcony and it's amazing view over the town and down the valley towards the sea. We enjoyed a coffee on the balcony almost every morning to watch the sun peek over the nearby mountains. Hans the host was also very attentive and made sure to check that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
