This was a nice two bedroom apartment with a good kitchen and two bathrooms/toilets. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The apartment is well located for walking and hiking in the area around the mountain village of Plan and the national park of Posets. Pineta, Escuain and Anisclo are also easily reachable within 20-30 minutes. In this village there is a super restaurant too which is called La Capilleta - top notch cuisine at very reasonable prices. I would stay at this apartment again.

Beautiful mountain views from the balcony as well as from the lounge and bedroom :-) Very comfortable, high-standard well-equipped apartment in a beautiful, well kept building. Central location! Everything was in order, in good shape and very clean, both the apartment and the building. Host was very understanding and always helpful, thank you! Free public parking outside the building. Peaceful and quiet, no noise. Supermarket, bakery and restaurants around the corner. Very good value, it was a pleasure to stay here (and we hope to come again soon :-)

Small reasonably priced have hostel with good and reasonably priced barbecue dinner (Spanish time). Simple accommodation so do not expect 5 star service but if you want to feel at home and be around friendly and helpful people you should choose this hotel.

Gistain is a beautiful village in the Aragon Pyrenees, with...

Gistain is a beautiful village in the Aragon Pyrenees, with interesting narrow, twisting roads between the buildings. We ate in the hotel every night and enjoyed delicious home-cooking at a very reasonable price. There is great walking from the village itself, and also a short drive away further into the mountains.

Spectacular views!!

Spectacular views!! Excellent hiking, a lot of hiking routes. But the infrastructure is quite poor, so you can get around only by car. A lot of picturesque small villages with narrow steep streets and abandoned houses. Quiet and excellent hideaway destination. Next time I will take some food with me, because its quite difficult to find a supermarket or food store in the mountains zone (Plan).

A place to discover for nature lovers and those who appreciate authenticity. The locals are very friendly and have time to talk to you about activities in the area, as well as the history of the village and the valley.

The valley is wonderful, surrounded by mountains and lush...

The valley is wonderful, surrounded by mountains and lush greenery. The accommodation and our stay were perfect. The owners go out of their way to help guests, plan excursions, and make you feel right at home. It's a trip we'll definitely repeat. Thank you, Ángel and Manoli, for being so professional.

We love Gistaín/Chistén; it's an ideal village if you want...

We love Gistaín/Chistén; it's an ideal village if you want to disconnect and relax, with plenty of excursions to do. There's a small shop and a bar, and if you're looking for restaurants, you can go to Plan or San Chuan de Plan (which are very close). The whole Chistau Valley is worth exploring.

Small and peaceful village, ideal for hiking.

Small and peaceful village, ideal for hiking. Leave your vehicle on the outskirts; never enter through the narrow streets. Friendly and welcoming locals. Livestock farming and tourism are the main economic activities.
