We had hoped to eat at the restaurant just round the corner...
We had hoped to eat at the restaurant just round the corner but it was closed when we were there. We ate every day at Bar El Rojo in Pamanes. Has to be the friendliest bar we have been to in Spain. Their tortilla is to die for (best we have eaten) and very reasonably priced, as are the drinks - no ripping off holiday makers. We stayed at this place for easy access for the Cabarceno animal park (15 minutes). We bought an annual pass and visited three days. We would avoid going there at the weekend as it is super busy. We did go there Saturday unfortunately. We decided not to go on Sunday and had intended to have a day of rest but in the end decided to drive around the area which turned out to be an excellent idea as the scenery is beautiful. La Cavada, Arredondo, Ramales de la Victoria, La Gandara, La Pedrosa and back via Lierganes (the last section from Ramales being especially good).Guest review byIanSpain - 10.0
