The property is stunning, full of history and charm, with breathtaking mountain views and beautiful surroundings. Diego and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very first moment. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and decorated with great taste. Breakfast and dinner at La Santa were a highlight: delicious, creative, and beautifully presented. Perfect place for a relaxing and romantic getaway. Highly recommend!

Excellent location, facing the lake, with a window view like a painting. The overall comfort of the room was good, breakfast and dinner were delicious, and although there were some communication barriers with the restaurant staff (I don't speak Spanish), I could feel their enthusiasm and friendliness. They also found candles and turned off the lights in the restaurant for my niece's 15th birthday, which was a great surprise!

This is a jewell of a place! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not luxurious, the room and bathroom was a bit dated, as is the whole place, we don’t mind that and everything is spotlessly clean and functional. The location is perfect: on the main street but set back from the road with room for a carpark and the restaurant/bar terrace. There is very much a ski chalet feel about the front of the hotel. The large Plane trees on the roadside keep the whole place nice and cool in the summer without it feeling dark and I couldn’t ask for a better terrace to sit out drinking on a hot afternoon. Reception was super friendly and familial. The older man was very helpful with my rubbish Spanish and the younger guy was eager to practice his very passable English, all done with smiles and laughter. I wish I could tell you their names. A vast difference from our later experience in the hotel along the road!! We had a very chilled hour on the terrace with a cold beer before a cool siesta followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant. We stayed here on our way to Barcelona from our home in France. Sadly it was fully booked for our return trip.

A village that has seen a lot of up-market second-homes built. It does have a nice bar (The Casino) in the centre and a couple of restaurants. It's on the main route to two ski resorts and acts as a base for wealthy skiers and hikers.

Planoles is a small mountain town, steep and not at all...

Planoles is a small mountain town, steep and not at all touristy, although it has a municipal swimming pool, a playground, a casino (not for gambling, but as a meeting space), a couple of grocery stores and a bakery. It can be easily reached by train. The people are friendly and the natural environment is spectacular. The town's Romanesque church is a point of reference.

A small town with more amenities than you'd expect; it's worth strolling through its streets, with its church and casino where you can eat very well. There's ample parking. Activities include hiking, geocaching, and a nearby nature park.

I really liked Can Gasparó, the hotel where I stayed, but...

I really liked Can Gasparó, the hotel where I stayed, but it's not near the village; it's high up on a mountain. We visited the village of Planoles, but we preferred the hotel and its surroundings, which are ideal for hiking. The great thing about Planoles is that it's well-connected by both car and train.

The house was wonderful, with everything you could need, a splendid porch, and marvelous views. Our host, Eva, was lovely and very attentive to everything. There are plenty of mountains nearby and so much to see! In short, our stay was wonderful, and we would have loved to stay longer!

Everything was great! Very cosy hotel, located away from any other accommodation, making the stay very quiet and pleasant. The rooms are clean, as well as the hotel itself. Has several different areas where you can relax. The view of the mountains is very beautiful. Nice restaurant with delicious food. The service is also at a good level as well as all communication with the staff on any issue. I will definitely come back again!

Nice staff and a great location at the river. It looks like this hotel is some kind of youth hostel, where a lot of families go for a weekend vacation. So there are also activities available like basketball, and more... You can additionally add dinner for about 10€ which was a great buffet. Would definitely stay there again
