During my recent trip to the Basque region of Spain, my stay at the Iriarte Jauregia hotel was an absolute highlight. Despite only staying for one night, this 17th-century palace left a lasting impression and quickly became my favorite place from the entire trip. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the stunning architecture and the meticulously designed decor that perfectly blends historic charm with modern elegance. My room was incredible, offering a serene retreat with breathtaking views of the countryside. The sound of cows grazing with bells around their necks added a peaceful, Alpine-like ambiance that made my stay even more special. The culinary experience at Iriarte Jauregia was exceptional. With two on-site restaurants, I enjoyed some of the finest food and wine of my trip. Dinner was a gourmet delight, featuring creative dishes that highlighted local flavors. Breakfast was equally impressive, providing a wide array of delicious options that set a perfect tone for the day. The staff at Iriarte Jauregia were welcoming and attentive, ensuring that my every need was met with genuine warmth and hospitality. Their dedication to providing top-notch service made my stay all the more enjoyable. In summary, Iriarte Jauregia is a true gem in the Basque countryside. The magnificent palace, the remarkable decor, the incredible food and wine, and the unparalleled service all contribute to an unforgettable experience. My wife and I visited the area for Carnival. Had a great time and the location of the hotel made it easy to explore by car. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. Beds were fantastic, with large rooms and nice bathrooms. Our room had a great walkout balcony and breakfast was delicious with lot of options and variety (recommend the tortilla). Very friendly staff.

We just had the most wonderful stay at Baiolei! Ana, the hostess, welcomed us so charmingly we felt at home here right away. She provided us with great tipps for our day trips. The rooms were very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The shared kitchen was equipped very well so you could make yourself nice homemade dinners. The free coffee and tea was another great extra. All in all, it was a great stay and we can really recommend it!

This Surf House is the first hostel I have stayed at. I only had the best of times. From surf equipment to the staff etiquette this is a rare find when comes to hostels. Cannot recommend enough.

Beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views of the valley and mountains. It's also conveniently located for visiting Bilbao, the coast, and San Sebastian. The owners are very friendly and offer excellent tips for outings and restaurants. We were also treated to some Basque delicacies upon arrival and departure. The apartment is spacious, clean, fresh, and fully equipped.

A fantastic place to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature, and recharge your batteries. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer because we'll definitely be back, and it was well worth it! Batteries recharged!!!

Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs! This establishment is extremely dirty (the sheets are clearly not washed between guests) and there is no respect for Covid rules (staff without masks, even in the kitchens). A disgrace! Not to mention the exorbitant price, payable in advance.

I can't find fault with minor, unimportant details, but I must praise the kind treatment my family and I received. Staff from 4 or 5 star hotels should visit Casa Letea to learn how to treat a customer properly.
