The studio is close to free street parking which is readily available if you arrive before or after the day trippers! Very comfortable bed and pillows it made for a great base for our overnight stay. The view from the window over the town was wonderful, one I'll never forget. Francisco was a great host and very informative. Book with confidence for an overnighter

Fantastic property! 2min from the main street under the rock. Fab views right out of the door and from a terrace. Nice and comfortable. It was cold as expected from unoccupied property in this area in December but the owner has put the heating on. He also shared useful info and instructions. It is easy to get to from the paid parking €9 per 24h for a peace of mind is not bad (and there is a toilet at the car park too) and the walk from the parking is nice in itself. The host was very helpful. An additional PIN code was required to obtain the keys. The accommodation was small, but sufficient for rest. In the morning, it was very nice to walk the streets and have morning coffee at the cafe.

The apartment is nice, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the balcony is excellent. Parking can be a bit challenging if you're trying to unload your luggage nearby. However, the apartment is just a one-minute walk from Setenil's main attraction, and there are small markets nearby for essentials.

    Setenil is a unique place because of its cave houses, shops, bars and restaurants located under rock. Its a great place for a day trip or an overnight stay. Be sure to try to go during the main opening times of shops and restaurants between 10am and 8pm (for the majority). Recommend La Dehesa del Ibérico --delicious jamón ibérico and queso along with very good quality wine. Abacería El Rincón del Beso, a quirky upstairs terrace under the rock, also with very good quality wine. Many other restaurants to try, but I arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday in August and left at 9am on the Wednesday morning, so many were closing at 8pm and not open when I left.

    Setenil is quite touristy, however it is a pretty town.

    Setenil is quite touristy, however it is a pretty town. You do need to be happy and fit to walk up and down some steep streets. There is parking, but it eas not easy to find, despite the parking signs, and you really do not want to start driving into the town. There are several points of interest and great views, the river area is pretty and there are cafes, bars and restaurants there. The country side around Setenil is quite beautiful in May, with many varieties of wild flowers along the roadside.

    To get to the Tourism Office you have to go up steep steps and fairly steep roads, which might not suit everyone, but then Setenil is built on the side of hill. The centre with the overhanging rock was a sight to see. Plenty of shops and restaurants.

    Setenil can be done in a day trip really.

    Setenil can be done in a day trip really. We stayed overnight because it was about a two hour drive to get home and we wanted to be able to relax and have a meal and some drinks. When we were there at the end of June all the restaurants in the main plaza only opened for the lunchtime trade so we were extremely limited for eating out that evening. The village is quirky with its cave houses and we loved that for a small donation we were able to go inside one of the houses. Setenil is not suitable for less abled people, it is very hilly and there are a lot of steps. I would not even want to push a baby buggy around! All in all we enjoyed our visit but wouldn´t go back.

    Fascinating place and great for photos.

    Fascinating place and great for photos. Not much to do, other than walk, and poor quality food. A day trip or overnight at most. Park in the Parking Los Caños. It's awkward to get to but very central and avoids the really narrow and steep streets in the town.

Steep hills to the top of the cliff can be driven to a certain point but be careful you don’t leave town…As the road to the top also joins the motorway…Restaurants are not open during bank holidays, however the residents were extremely helpful and willing to give you directions, including the owner of the place we rented… When above and beyond with information…

    Perfect location, at the top of the town within easy walking distance of the main area. The town is quite hilly so getting around might be a struggle for some. The breakfast was simple but good value. The rooms were spotless and for a 'two star' hotel it was very impressive. There is no parking but an underground carpark is located a few meters away for 9 euro a day. The TV in the room is equipped with Netflix, Apple TV etc.

    We arrived late and the host met us at the property to check us in. He explained the orientation of the property, and was able to give recommendations on restaurants. We were able to park for free along a nearby street. Good that there was a small supermarket nearby that opened until quite late. The view from the balcony was superb and almost every tourist attraction was within walking distance (Setenil is a small place).

    Very beautiful house that has everything you need. Very helpful owner, perfect communication and route recommendation. Very authentic experience in the heart of Setenil. Clean with all the necessary amenities. You can park your car for free on the street in front of the house. Setenil is amazing and unique.
