This is such a lovely place! The sun shines through the large window in the afternoon, which was really nice. I also enjoyed having a kitchen. Everything is there to prepare simple meals. There's a small grocery store nearby. The location of the appartment is convenient. If you're a hiker or biker, this would be a great place for a rest day.

Lovely little hotel conveniently situated near motorway. Fantastic room, very friendly and helpful staff. Only one negative, needed a non-slip mat for the bath. We are getting old and the bath was huge and slippery.

A pretty little town, with charming streets, a very interesting Archive and if you go, it is essential to visit the Tourist Office, where there is a lovely woman who advises you on what to see with passion, you can tell that she likes Simancas.

It only has the General Archive.

It only has the General Archive. It's not really worth a visit; they only let you see one room (it's free). The town's bars and restaurants close in the afternoons and don't reopen until 6:30-8:00 PM, so the atmosphere is very dreary and there are hardly any people in the streets. Only the bar "El Archivo" is open in the whole town. Positive: very good access to the highway

Quiet with supermarket, bars and library.

Quiet with supermarket, bars and library. The bus passes every 20 minutes to go to Valladolid. You can also go by taxi. There is a beach bar next to the bridge where they hold concerts and activities, there is a very good atmosphere.

It's a small town whose main attraction is the General...

It's a small town whose main attraction is the General Archive of Simancas, which houses a portion of Spain's history and a small part of its overseas viceroyalties. There are two buildings of interest: the Church of El Salvador and the hospital of the same name. A visit to the Pisuerga River might also be worthwhile. We couldn't find anywhere for breakfast; the few places available were closed.

For a meal, I highly recommend Excusa near the river.

For a meal, I highly recommend Excusa near the river. It's a very pleasant place with pellet stoves and excellent service. The squid tentacles and smoked sardines were delicious. Right across the street is a bar called Baruva, which has live music on Fridays and is beautifully lit with soft, indirect lighting, candles, and a fireplace. I'll definitely visit both places again when I return to Simancas.

Simancas is very close to Valladolid and in the Ribera del...

Simancas is very close to Valladolid and in the Ribera del Duero wine region. It offers many possibilities for weekend trips as a base for exploring the area. The views of the Pisuerga River are truly worthwhile.

When visiting Simancas to work a few day in the archives i was happy to stay in this location. It's very well situated, close to the castle. The appartment is spacious and nicely renovated. The host were very friendly and helpful and adapted to my travel schedule
