Ubeda is such a beautiful town, and if you are there with friends and have some time you can really experience all it has to offer, mostly food, drinks and architecture. We didn't have the time to visit the olive farms, and see how olive oil is produced, definetly on the list if we ever return! A great place to see and enjoy the history of one of Spain's oldest cities. Many fine places to eat (booking ahead is advisable) and if you're a lover of old buildings and churches, (including the Synagogue) you won't be disappointed. Great place to have a short break.

This is a gem of an Andalusian town--lovely accommodations, good food and great views as it is on a hill. It is on the register of historic towns for Spain and a World Heritage Site. A knowledge of history will increase your enthusiasm for a visit, too! The town is walkable and the Tourism Office is very helpful. Ubeda is a beautiful, well preserved, ancient town with lots of interesting things to see, including some unusual monuments . The views of the surrounding mountains are spectacular and we found some really excellent restaurants. Great as a base for a walking holiday or a long weekend. Our bedroom had high a ceiling and some nice old furniture. Our host was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was served in a lovely room upstairs and was excellent, everything was good quality and there was a good variety. We parked in the underground car park, Aparcamientos Úbeda, which cost 13 euro for 24 hours. The hotel is ideally situated to explore the old town.
