A hidden gem with fantastic views. It was so tranquil. The staff were very pleasant and the accommodation very comfortable and very clean. The breakfasts were great, a lovely selection. I can recommend the hot stone massage, it was amazing and the spa very relaxing.

Such an amazing stay! The place has super chill vibes and is run by the loveliest mother-daughter duo, they really make you feel at home. Breakfast was incredible too!

This is a very special place. Don’t go there expecting a boutique hotel with all the fancy trimmings - Las Chimeneas isn’t like that. Go there for peace, wonderful fresh, local food, and owners who know and love the area. If you enjoy walking, Emma and David will give you directions to explore the paths of the Alpujarras, or even go along and show you the way, with tons of information to share as you go. If you enjoy doing nothing, the tiny pool is perfect for the occasional dip in between lounging with a good book. Our room was very simple, but had everything we needed. And did I mention the food? We won’t forget our stay, thanks to everyone at Las Chimeneas for a fantastic few days.

Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of...

Yegen is a beautiful Alpujarra white village on the side of a large mountain. It has far reaching views and you can even see the sea on a clear day. There are almond farms all around and the blossom was beautiful in January. It feels rather like stepping back in time and is well worth a visit. Most places were shut while we were there as we arrived late on Sunday afternoon and left on Tuesday morning but I'm sure there are nice places to eat and drink at busier times. There are many footpaths in the area and it would be a great place to use as a base for hiking.

It's a magical place.

It's a magical place. If you're looking for peace and quiet, it's the perfect spot. The villagers are very friendly. All the details related to the Book Village are beautiful and charming. There are three bars, and they're all very good. The food is delicious and the portions are generous.
