We arrived home yesterday from our 5 day holiday to First Landing Resort. I have travelled to many places throughout the world, but I have never experienced a holiday like this. Not only is the resort a serene oasis, but it is surrounded by beautiful, manicured gardens and water views that stretch for miles. Food is varied and impeccable. But what made this holiday as wonderful as it was were the staff. Throughout our stay, we greeted by name wherever we went. The staff were so kind and happy and genuinely treated us like family. As we left, they came and hugged us and reminded us that we are now new members of their very large family. We left with tears in our eyes as we have never ever experienced such gentleness, kindness, happiness, and humility.. This was the perfect holiday for body and soul. YOU MUST GO TO FIRST LANDING RESORT.

It was clean, spacious, and had a guest room, so it was very comfortable to stay in. The owners were kind and helpful, and always willing to help with any questions I had. I was able to sleep, cook, go out whenever I wanted and enjoy Fiji time to the fullest. I will definitely use it again when I come to Fiji.

Staff are excellent. Do the Jewel of Fiji tour. The tour itself isn't expensive.... BUT... be prepared to pay quite a lot extra to actually get there.... In saying that..... it's a nice comfy way of seeing quite a bit more of the island. The beach/bay is absolutely lovely.... although, reef shoes might be helpful... (sharp stuff) If you're OK to pay a taxi 10 dollars to take you 1 and a half km up the road..... go for it. The taxis are variable.... some reasonable price... some a bit greedy,,,,, If you walk... chances are... one of the locals will pick you up.... Such friendly people.

I enjoy getting far away from the tourist crowds when I travel to the islands, especially to see the people of the land and their way of life. Lautoka is an awesome place to get an insight of the beautiful Fijian culture, its people and community, and the real Fiji. You can count on many big smiles and ‘have a blessed day’s as you wander around the streets and parks. Life is simple here, just as it should be 💕

Lovely to see village life out of town , market , shops dutyfree, do activities on other islands and outside of lautoka. Great Chinese restaurant main town , Pizza at lautoka hotel, life cafes serve great cheap tasty meals .

the 2nd largest city in Fiji, quiet and unassuming during the christmas week. The town is only open to a mall and a few shops during public holidays and one is assured of a bright blue sky and sun through out the day.

Not much of a tourist vibe, nice to see the real Fijian side...

Not much of a tourist vibe, nice to see the real Fijian side of the island. People very friendly but taxis happy to charge more than they should. A couple days to relax is enough but wouldn't plan the whole holiday around this area, 3 day's of your trip is more than enough.

Landers Bay is set in a very quiet isolated location, a taxi is required to visit anywhere but well worth it. The accommodation was lovely and the beach, bar, restaurants were a minutes walk from our room. A great place to unwind and just relax. We had quite a bit of rain but being warm rain, it did not matter. We did not visit Lautoka as were happy staying at the resort.

The friendly and attentive staff made our stay just amazing. I got food poisoning (from another place) and they were very caring, helping however they could, sent a doctor to my room almost immediately. Our room (in the newer wing) was spacious, king bed nice and firm. The hotel is well located, close to jetty to go to the Yasawa Islands, close to market and shops.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were as described. It is mid way between Nadi and Lautoka Wharf where a lot of the ferries and boats to Yasawa Islands depart from. Expect to pay $25 for a taxi to Nadi or Lautoka.

Very good welcoming and charming House very confortable. Good location in a small district of lautoka not far from the centre Very good place before to take the ferry to Nacula island (ferry sea bus wharf 5 minutes by car)
