Perfect food, perfect staff, perfect location, perfect facilities! Big vinaka!

Maikai and his family were generous, kind and extremely accommodating, including us in welcome ceremonies and a family picnic. The room was great, spacious, private and clean. The location is right next to a village where the people are friendly and you can look around the kindergarten and get to know the people and round the corner from a resort too where you can do activities if you like. We had a great few days here and would’ve loved to stay longer. It’s an excellent homestay.

Beautiful homestay with the best food we had on the Yasawas. The room is quite new, it comes with a mosquito net and a spacious bathroom. The location is stunning, directly at the beach where you can do SUP or snorkeling. The owner and his family were welcoming us at the first evening with the traditional drink Kava, it was a surprise and a very nice experience. There were also kids who enjoyed joining us doing sports. The only thing that was a no go for us were the kids lurking through our windows when we were changing. But other than that, we would recommend it 100%!

The staff here is so welcoming and they all work very hard. Food is so delicious and the ocean here is perfectly for snorkeling. There is also scuba diving shop and you definitely need to try it!

We did a long tour of all islands in the Yasawas, and Paradise Cove is on a short list of the very best. Of course, as it is a higher end resort, expectations were also high, but the place met them easily. The property is located on a beautiful island where the beach and water entry / water level is just perfect, regardless of high tide / low tide. One thing they don't say and they should advertise is the amazing coral reef they have just steps in the water. This was easily comparable with things we saw on boat trips. So definetlly a very big plus. Then the restaurants, they have two, and we loved them both . Magic breakfasts at the main restaurant in the gentle sun light or romantic dinners at Donu . Unforgetable memories . The team has some of the best people we met in Fiji and we felt very welcomed. The tented beachfront Queen Bure 18 was a magical beautiful comfortable place to stay with the sound of the ocean and the wind in the palm trees. Our trip was Oct 16-20 2024 and we had ideal weather and perfect conditions for snorkeling except for one afternoon when it rained heavily for 3 hours and it was damp in the Bure that day. I would probably avoid the rainy season November to March. The snorkeling was spectacular right from the beach except for the boat channel sections. There is often a free guided snorkel which is highly recommended. The most beautiful section is between manta beach and sunrise beach, far out from shore just before the drop off into deeper water. The sea was calm and visibility was excellent. If it’s not too windy you can snorkel from sunset beach at high tide, go out to the drop off, then snorkel to the right, snorkel past manta beach, then to sunrise beach where you can exit via the boat channel, this takes about 45 minutes. Huge variety of coral and fish, amazingly beautiful. You can also scuba dive. We heard and read that Barefoot Manta Resort has the best snorkeling in all of Fiji and it seems true. Look at the underwater photos at barefootmantaresort.com; it really does look like that, incredibly healthy beautiful reef. Four marine biologists work at this resort and build the reef by planting more coral. Many sections are sheltered from the wind due to the bays and the channel between the islands, allowing the coral to thrive. We were fortunate to snorkel with the Manta Rays on one of our 5 mornings here. The rest of the time and the previous 2 weeks they were not there. The best time to reliably see the mantas is apparently June-July. The staff are super friendly and fun and they all seem to sing in addition to their regular jobs. The food and entertainment were great. The hike up to the viewpoints was great. The free wifi in the lobby and dining area worked well most of the time.

Small island resort in a paradisiacal setting with excellent snorkelling opportunities. The reefs around the island are full of coral, colourful fish, sharks, manta rays (not guaranteed) and turtles. They'll lend you all the snorkelling (or scuba) equipment for a fee. There are several room options to suit your budget and there is a good choice of tasty food.

What a wonderful and memorable stay in a traditional Fijian village. We liked it so much that we ended up staying in Soso village for a month. Silo, Bill, Va, Rob, Simi, Luisa and Iki, we will never forget the great time we had with you. You took good care of us, prepared extra food for the children and helped us when they got sick. As for the village. The people are very friendly, with a lot of children, so our kids made friends instantly. The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with a nice healthy reef to snorkel and there are some nice hikes with spectacular views over all of the Tasawas. As there is no light pollution, stargazing is breathtaking and the manta ray passage is just around the corner. The accommodation is very basic with a bucket shower and no-flush-toilet, but the beds are comfortable and the food is great. Note that the water available is rain water, so if you want to go safe, bring your own bottled water (or aqua-tabs) from the mainland because there are no real shops on the island. Also, you should wear a Sulu (Sarong) around the village and in church, men too. And it’s expected that you bring a kava root (worth 20 FJ$) and/or some money to present to the chief of the village when you arrive.
