This isn’t a party resort — it’s calm, peaceful, and pristine, with a private beach that feels like paradise. The food was outstanding (every dish exceeded expectations — especially the curries, fresh fish, and tropical breakfasts). What makes Wellesley truly special is the connection to the local community. Playing rugby on the beach with kids, joining a Sunday church service, sharing meals with families, and experiencing Fijian traditions like kava and fishing gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. If you visit, bring along clothes or school supplies to donate — it’s a small gesture that means so much to the village. Wellesley isn’t just a holiday — it’s an experience that stays with you. Patricia is the most lovely host. She made us feel home from the moment we stepped her guesthouse. Her family is very sweet and the location right on the beach feels like a dream when waking up by the sound of the waves. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking at an immersive local experience.

We had a fantastic stay; the Coral Coast has everything you need. There’s a beautiful beach perfect for walking or snorkeling, a nice pool to relax in, and comfortable sunbeds. The rooms are lovely and spacious. There’s a fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook, but there are also a couple of restaurants offering a huge variety of options, and a grocery store just across the road.

My stay was fantastic. A lovely family home where everyone did their utmost to provide the friendliest and welcome atmosphere. My room was very spacious and cool given the summer months. Everyone was lovely and offered lifts to the main town etc.
