Amazing place! Due to its location it's a great base to explore most of the islands and at the same time it's very quiet and peaceful, so you can really relax here after a long day. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, the flat is modern, spacious and comfortable, one of the best I have ever stayed in. There is nothing we missed, I only wish we stayed here longer.

I had a wonderful stay at the Guesthouse Gjogv. The room was spacious with breathtaking views, and the bathroom was excellent—an important feature on the Faroe Islands :) Both breakfast and dinner were outstanding, surpassing all expectations. Highly recommended!

The apartment was a comfortable base for exploring Faroe Islands. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen spacious and well equipped. It was a safe haven we returned to with pleasure after a day of hiking. Gudny was always available to answer all our questions and his brother even replied from a fishing boat in the North Sea :) All in all, it was a very good experience. Thank you!

Beautiful peaceful place that has been nicely decorated. Bright and spacious. Sigbritt's father came to take payment and told me a little about the history of the house. All very well equipped and comfortable.

Lilia, the hostess received us with open arms and a big heart in a most wonderful homely house in beautiful surroundings. Lilja prepared a great dinner. Perfect cod (I have the recipe!) directly from the sea served with local Faroes potatoes and vegetables. It was rounded off by a rhubarb cake. During the dinner we got to know a lot about the Faroes and we were joined by other tourist with whom we shared our impressions. The rooms were cosy, everything was super clean and tidy. The house cat added to the atmosphere running in and out to the little garden. The breakfast included fresh baked home made bread (also served with dinner) as well as a nice plate with tasty things. Would give Lilia 12 points out of 10 possible!

    Our stay here was a true highlight of our trip.

    Our stay here was a true highlight of our trip. The fairytale village of Elduvík is in a stunning location with breathtaking views of the ocean and the sheer rocky flank of neighboring Kalsoy island. There is a flat path leading to a gorge where we enjoyed cold plunges and watched a seal which loves to be sung to! Elduvik is the perfect base for day trips to all the highlights (Saksun, Tjornuvik, Gjogv, Kalsoy lighthouse, northern islands) and even hikes that start right from the village. The Bonus supermarket in Oyrarbakki is only 20 min. away, where you can find anything you want. Even popular hikes on Vagar were only 45 min. away. But we often didn't want to leave Elduvik!
