The staff was amazing, kudos to Maria made our stay incredible, room was clean and spacious. we love the views of the city and ocean. huge parking area, an amazing restaurant for brekkie and dinner, great selection of local draft beers.

Staying at the Runavik Hotel was a very nice part of our trip to the Faroe Islands. We stayed for one night at first, but ended up staying for two more nights. The central location of the hotel was convenient for us, with nowhere far to go. We were also given a complimentary upgrade to the best room and although Booking didn't advertise it, breakfast was part of our stay. Everyone in the restaurant was also very nice, both the lady who took care of breakfast and the lady who served us for dinner. The breakfast deserves a special comment as it was very varied - sweet, savoury pastries, sausages, eggs, cold cuts, a wide range of cheeses, cereals etc. We can really recommend a stay in the hotel to anyone looking for comfort when travelling around the beautiful Faroe Islands.

Mainly, I loved the serenity and the solitude of the location. The property was finished to a very high standard, including decoration and comfort and the underfloor heating. Swimming in the sea each morning, and then returning to this toasty cabin was pure heaven. A rare find!

Great location for staying at Tórshavn and discovering the town or driving from there to other places. It is possible to walk to the city centre or go there by bus. City park with the little forest is nearby for a nice walk or as an option to get to the city centre.

    Nothing much in Toftir itself but it’s a nice quiet place (unsurprisingly, like most towns/villages on the Faroes). It’s got a supermarket if you’re self catering. With distances between towns and sights it’s just as handy a place to stay as anywhere else as long as you’re not out as a party animal.
