Lovely countryside, quaint town, some good restaurants to try out local French food and produce. Close to many WW1 cemeteries, memorials and museums. We wanted to stay in Albert as the centre for a tour of the Somme WW1 battlefields and monuments. Virtually any site of importance is within a 15-minute drive - perfect. The hotel is easy to find and has secure parking. The bar and restaurant is available if you want to stay at the hotel. Albert is a short walk and is a splendid place to visit.
