Enjoyed the old world grandeur, comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. They accepted our cat as a guest with zero additional fees or fuss. Liked that the toilet was separate from the bedroom and bathroom behind 2 doors. Location incredibly peaceful.

The room was so clean and tidy. Benoit the manager was really friendly and kind I felt really comfortable to be at the hotel. The location is perfect right in the center of town you can walk everywhere very easily. I highly recommend this hotel to other travelers!

I don’t like anything. I was going to complain to you when I get back to the UK because even the shower is broken. I have a photo and no hand wash it was called heating. It was not very good at all. We was feeling cold very poor breakfast. I am not happy.

Great location right on the beach front. Lovely staff at reception and in the restaurant. Rooms had everything you needed comfortable bed with a good pillow and large cushion. Tea& coffee making facilities which is great plus a hair dryer, tv and very clean. Great shower.

We only stayed in Calais as we had been travelling around...

We only stayed in Calais as we had been travelling around Europe and we wanted to stay near to the Euro tunnel on our return home. Calais itself was fine and it's only 15 minutes from the Euro tunnel. The main square initially seemed great as there were lots of places to eat and drink and we did have an enjoyable evening. The problem was that the noise from the bars on the square goes on until past 3am , so not ideal if you have to be up early . Then there's the noise of the market setting up from 6am. I imagine that would only be Saturdays though.

It’s good to spend a night there before getting a ferry back...

It’s good to spend a night there before getting a ferry back to the UK. Plenty of restaurants open, even on a Monday night. It makes for an interesting little walking tour looking at the parks, buildings and shops.

There are plenty of good restarurants with excellent food...

There are plenty of good restarurants with excellent food and lively bars. Bar Macao, Family Pub and The Home were excellent bars with a good range of beers. Enjoyed an excellent meal at Au Vieux Fourneau. In fact every meal we had was delicious with fresh fish or meat and vegetables. All added to an enjoyable stay

It was an overnight stay on way home to the UK. But would have been happy to stay a couple of days. I have been to Calais many times and it is nice to see the changes that are happening the beach is lovely.

The promenade of Calais is truly superb with a multitude of...

The promenade of Calais is truly superb with a multitude of amusements for kids and adolescents alike. The mile-long promenade has swings, roundabouts, separate skate parks for toddlers and adults, various climbing frames, various ball courts, etc. and the best thing is that it is all free of charge! For the price of a couple of ice-creams you can be sure that your child or adolescent is fully occupied for the whole of the holiday. My husband and I are retired and were therefore content to sit on one of the comfortable lounge seats and 'people watch' as well as look out to sea. We did not have time to go into the town, as it was only an overnight stop on the way to the Euroshuttle, but plan to go back to spend a few days holiday.

I have always been interested in the history of Calais, and...

I have always been interested in the history of Calais, and I like its historic buildings. The area to the south of Calais is marvellous - the glorious Cote d'opale with its lovely towns/villages such as Escalles, Wissant (my favourite!) and Wimereux. It is also easy to reach places such as Ardres, Guines and Boulogne. i have always liked northern France.

Those who are travelling to France on ferry this is just 15 min away from Calais ferry port and is on the motor way to Paris . The rooms are really cozy with good beds and pillows . Toilets are clean and well maintained . The room heater was working perfect to keep us warm during winter time . Hotel serves breakfast with fruits , pan cakes and few other items . Overall value for money for those looking for budget accommodation this meets the requirement

A nice location with parking right on the beach. A simple, basic hôtel on the attractively re-developed Calais Plage, it was and excellent value. Ideal for an overnight stay before, in my case an early Channel crossing via Eurotunnel the next morning. It would equally well serve for a starting point to explore after a crossing from the U.K.

The hot tub is amazing and the owner is very friendly. When i didnt know how to work something such as the hot tub he replys very fast. Probably best apartment in Calais. Lovely area. Polite people. Shopping centre very close. Food spots not area. Near the beach. Near activities, too much to explain! Great value for money

On a Christmas shopping trip to Calais and Hotel Meurice was an absolute oasis in the middle of Calais. Very friendly staff, a lovely old fashioned French hotel, good bar and within walking distance to the many bars and restaurants Calais has to offer. Will definitely stay again.
