Calvi’s an ideal place to just hang out, cafe and resto hop, go to the beach or walk the lovely lanes. It’s also an excellent base to have a rental car to venture further out across the mountains and along the coast, each with their own dramatic and wild and rugged landscapes. Calvi is absolutely incredible, beautiful views sea and mountains together crystal waters, great food, people so helpful would definitely go back. So far in Corsica we have been to bastia, sant florent and calvi and calvi is our favourite.out of the three. We were in Calvi outside of the holiday season and a most of the sea/beach/tourist orientated facilities were closed. It was great. It was no more than a ten minute walk down to the harbour with a wonderful array of excellent restaurants all offering an excellent value prix fixe 3 course menu for around 25Euros . The swimming pool was also lovely to relax around . Calvi a good springboard for exploring some beautiful beaches , Ile Rousse and Saint Florent .
