Le Manoir Saint Thomas is a hidden precious gem of Amboise. It has a prime position to the centre of Amboise chateau, restaurants, shopping and the Loire river. The rooms are clean and have been beautifully and authentically restored, it has a secluded pool and garden and is serviced by the most wonderful of people who made our visit a memorable and delightful experience. Beautiful quaint old hotel in a terrific location in the centre of Amboise, rooms are obviously compact but have everything needed and are spotlessly clean. Great selection for breakfast and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. This was particularly important when Detours de Loire company did not collect our luggage for transfer to Tours. The girl on reception was really helpful and communicated with our hotel in Tours to arrange the transfer. I would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly return.

    We had a lovely room in the main building thankfully with...

    We had a lovely room in the main building thankfully with air conditioning which ensured a good nights sleep in the very comfortable bed . Dinner and breakfast were excellent with both taken out on the terrace overlooking the countryside . Whilst it is the perfect stop over en route through France we intend to make the effort and come back for a longer stay in future.

    There is nothing to do or see in Cangey itself.

    There is nothing to do or see in Cangey itself. The Cottages are located outside Fleuray, an other and even smaller and emptier village on a small 9 holes course, with no driving range, synthetic grass tee boxes and greens, with no par 5 and a very short par 3 requiring a lob wedge. Don't see any reason to play it twice. Amboise is a nice touristic city in the neighborhood, but 25 ton30 min drive away.

    We had a great experience at Le Fleuray! First off, dinner and breakfast were amazing. The hotel was located in a quiet area perfect for a restful holiday, but still close enough to most of the major chateaux. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and we also loved the decor, a little old fashioned, but so so soso cute and charming. Just all around the most lovely and comfortable place we stayed at on our Loire valley trip!

    Beautiful country house in a very quiet peaceful countryside location. We were recommended this hotel by our friends and it certainly lived up to their high standards. The restaurant was amazing, very high quality food and wines. Lovely garden area with outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Staff were very friendly and helpful - we would certainly return without hesitation. Its a shame we were only there for one niight.

    This lovely hotel is an easy drive from the motorway so it’s a perfect stop over. Our room was spacious, stylish and very comfortable. Dinner was amazing. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely visit again.
