It is a lovely town with very good restaurants. In the centre, there is the L'Imguimbertine, a library/museum, unique in France and very interesting, well worth a visit. Great for visiting the surrounding countryside, particularly the imposing and formidable Mont Ventoux; if you like open-water swimming in lakes, there are many possibilities near Carpentras, which is what attracted me there. The owner super agile because of my carelessness I left the key inside and the owner called the locksmith for me. It was very clean and the rooms comfortable with a very nice breakfast in an ambient setting. The owners(staff) were friendly and helpful. All these factors came into consideration and that’s why I stayed at The Forum again after staying here a couple of years earlier on a trip from Australia. The beautiful property hides behind a secure gate in the countryside just minutes from the famous Carpentras market.
