If you like vibrant environment (not a touristic hell vibrancy) Ciboure is the right choice. It is a charming place with beautiful beaches, stunning views of the Pyrenees, and vibrant Basque culture. It is a true Paradise for runners and those who likes long promenades. Fort de Socoa and area around is beautiful in any time of the day and you can find many outstanding restaurants there with affordable prices. You can reach St Jean de Luz by foot in 20 mins from Fort Socoa, and in 10 min from Ciboure Eglise (which is worth to visit!!!). and of course you can explore the nearby beautiful villages!Guest review byNataliaFrance - 10.0

Ciboure is a smallish French Basque village with a great deal of charm. It tends to be quieter than its neighbour across the Nivelle river, but that more liverly resort is easily walked to across the bridge, so best of both worlds. Ciboure has easy walking around a circular bay with lots of places to eat or shop. Very pretty, lots of beautiful villas, reminds Beverly hills. The harbour is full of houses built in Bask style and looks amazing. The town has been built on the hill, so, you get down and then have to climbe back for a long time. Such a charming small town. Worth staying a couple of nights. It is perfect for couples and families with children, trying to get away from the bustling city life for a couple of days.
