Situated in a tranquil setting with views over the vineyards from the little outside terrace. Our host was very friendly and left a complimentary carafe of local wine to help us settle in. The place was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything needed for your stay. Lots of information on the surrounding area should you be staying longer. Very comfortable beds too. We would highly recommend.

Lovely old building in the centre, with lots of character and charm. Rooms spacious (family room) and very clean. Great food in the restaurant downstairs- with the typical Alsace vibe, but also with some diversity. Fantastic service and wonderful staff. The area is so peaceful and beautiful. Will be back for sure!

It is one of the smaller villages in the region, and one needs a car to go around. But, within 5-10 mins driving distance, other villages like Scherwiler and Dambach are easily accessible for restaurants and boutique and unique wineries. Very well connected with other villages with walking trails through the vineyards.!

This is a wonderfully picturesque town that is easy to walk...

This is a wonderfully picturesque town that is easy to walk around and is surrounded by vineyards. It's also within an hour's drive of cities with major attractions, like Strasbourg. Other nearby towns offer beautiful and delicious dining opportunities and photographic opportunities of nature and vernacular architecture.

Evrything was neat and clean. The staff was friendy. Not everyone speaks english but they still tried to help and gave us some good suggestions. If you want to dine in any restaurant it is better to reserve several days before. Chances are places will be fully booked.

Dieffental is a small, unpretentious village on the Alsace...

Dieffental is a small, unpretentious village on the Alsace Wine Route, well-situated geographically and close to major roads. There are some very good restaurants nearby, including "La Couronne" in Scherwiller, which is not to be missed for its setting and Alsatian specialties.

The village had no services whatsoever (no bars, restaurants...

The village had no services whatsoever (no bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.); you had to travel for anything. The village itself is beautiful, like almost all the villages in Alsace. Since we were visiting, we ate in other, more touristy towns (Kayserberg, Riquewihr, etc.). It's perfect for walking or hiking. There are castles nearby that you can reach on foot (with a bit of a climb).

It's a small village along the Wine Route.

It's a small village along the Wine Route. There's no bakery in the village itself, but you can find some in the two villages about 2 km away. The only open restaurant isn't recommended; there's a good one in the neighboring village. Reservations are highly recommended along the Wine Route.

Efficient reception - very friendly and welcoming. Decoration in the hotel is very traditional and quirky which is what we like. Location is very handy for visiting Dambach. Room had a nice view over the vineyards and was a decent size. Dinner and breakfast were both good and reasonably priced. Have stopped here three times before and have never been disappointed

Very nice location at the French Alsace. Great wine region. The garden of the hotel is great! Good hotel for traveling to your holiday destination. Check in procedure is very fast and simple.
