Quiet little town with a port.
Quiet little town with a port. Easy to find nice places to eat. Not too touristic during winter. Nice spa thalasso around. Not for anyone who seeks out party places. There is also a reasonably priced Moroccan eatery Le Sable d’Or that serves authentic cous cous and home made baklava! Bright and spacious from the moment you enter the reception, very friendly staff. We had a room on 1st floor with view of the bay. Everything you need in room. Self service breakfast with great variety including bacon and scrambled eggs, fruit, cheeses, yoghurt etc. The icing on the cake was 13h checkout as we had free access to swimming pool and access to beautiful beach below. Between the house and the beach in front of it is a well-used road. Guess it can get busy in summer. The town of Douarnenez suprised us, especially its social history.
