Lovely, small seaside town. Lots of restaurant choice - our favourite was Le Clos Lupin, typical French, family run restaurant. Great cooking - we also rated Les Bel Amis amongst others. The cliffs of Étretat are spectacular and definitely worth a visit, but note that lots of other people think that too! So there are crowds of people, tourists from all over the world in this small seaside town. Fantastic vue and beach with the cliffs. Garden amazing on the hills. But you only need a day for that. But too much people and too many tourists, Took away the charm. We spent one night in Etretat.
We spent one night in Etretat. We walked along the beach as well as climbed up the stairs on the cliff areas. We liked the views of chalked cliffs and English channel from above. The beach and its views are great.
The beach and its views are great. The place in itself is very touristic and not always as friendly for tourists as it should be. Car got towed away from a car park where I paid with 8 others since we missed or misunderstood the very small sign that there was a market the next day. The view from our window to the see and Etratet was so beautiful. The room we lived was spacious and nicely decorated and in bathroom there was comfortable bathtub. The eating space and also the library downstairs were amazingly decorated with nice furniture and we would have liked to use it more. The breakfast was good. We had everything we needed. The contact with the landlady was very good and quick. The apartment was clean and quiet (except seagulls). There was a parking space definitely enough for our combi car.
